“I know you can take care of yourself, I didn’t say that you couldn’t. I just worry.”

“Would you worry less if I let you come with me?”

“Yes, a walk. Come on.” He grabbed her hand and led her to the doors to the student parking lot. “I promise you’ll like it.” He started toward the woods that backed up to the lot. “And if you don’t, well, then you should choose what we do next time.” He laughed nervously as he led her into the heart of the woods. What he was looking for was just up ahead.

“Okay” she laughed as she joined him as he walked, “Oh I’m sure I will love it” after all their last little exploration had been pretty fun, so she trusted Scott would take her somewhere remotely fun. “Well we’ll just have to see”

“You are one of the only people that I don’t totally hate.” Jackson shrugged.

“Really?” she mused, “And how did I pull that one off?”
