MON-EL ( @aheartofvalor )
Mon-El pressed his lips together, nodding. “Mhm.” He wasn’t buying what she was trying to sell but he was fine with harmlessly letting her believe she’d convinced him. He exhaled softly as she shared her thoughts with him albeit he didn’t interrupt her at any point. “I get where you’re coming from. I do. But I was really just being polite to her, nothing more.” The Daxamite gave Kara a small smile and walked over to where she sat, armed with the cutest pout that made his smile grow a little wider. He crouched down to be level with her and took one of her hands in his, stroking her knuckles with his thumb. “Now why in the world would I want any woman but the one sitting in front of me?” He lifted her hand to kiss it. “I came here with you to see where you grew up, to get to know the people who are important to you. To share in your happiness. Flirting with other women wasn’t on the list—” A chuckle slipped out before he became more serious. “Babe, it’s just me and you. No one else in between us. Ever.” Would this be all the reassurance that she needed from him?
she knew it was futile hiding anything from him. mon-el knew her so well, he could tell something was wrong by the quirk of her lips or the slight creases of her forehead. and even still, he never made her feel like her problems were small or superfluous like some others in her life did. kara didn’t speak as he assured her he didn’t have eyes for anyone but her, only a huge smile appeared on her features. she felt her heart race as he took her hand and kissed it. kara cupped his face in her hands, tenderly stroking his beard. it had been a shock seeing him with it when he’d arrived, but she’d gotten used to, she even liked the way it made him look. as attractive as he’d been to her before, now he was just...the embodiment of her perfect man. she kissed him again tenderly, before drawing away and resting her forehead against his. “ I’m sorry “ she said, “ I was being so silly...I just feel like everyone here has moved on without me, and you’re the only constant I have...I don’t want to lose you too “ she said with unbridled truthfulness letting go of him and looking away embarassed.
