it had been a very long time since trinity had seen this side of him. not many ever do see it. if this were any typical night, she wouldve just dismissed it and went about her night, but this was different. this was something that she wasn't expecting to hear. not from him anyway. what really confirmed it for her was the way he tugged her waist, almost needing her in a way that he didn't before.

hearing him practically wanting her to stay was a step in the right direction. at least in theory. she wrapped her arms around him as he pressed his face into her stomach and hearing the heavy sigh escape his lips. she stayed quiet and kept him close and she said softly to him, "i don't want to fight either. I'm honestly tired of the fighting." She says. "I wasn't going anywhere. You're stuck with me dude." she says as she grins as she continued to rub his back.

from the tip of every last strand of hair, wet from a shower that feels an eternity ago, to the soles of very, very tired feet, roman can feel it. the weight of it all. how his body has begun to sag because of it. how he can't blunt sharpened teeth or put sense to thoughtless choices. the exhaustion has many names, though his tongue tied itself from saying them in any favorable light.. and at the end of it all, through aches and pains and blood, she's stayed. a constant that might have rolled its eyes and cursed his presence from time to time — but present, nevertheless. trinity is the solid and the rock. she's the slope he leans into this night, last night, every night, in a wordless hope that, come morning, the knots will have untangled themselves and set a course back towards a promised land far, far too distant, these days.

She could see and feel it all over his body. She was worried about him. Although, in her mind it wouldn’t be known but she knew that all of this was weighing heavily on him. She hated that. However, hearing the question posed to her asking if everything that has happened was his fault, she stayed quiet wanting to make sure she said the right things without making it anymore stressful for him.

“My love, I want you to listen to me and listen to me well. I have watched since the beginning of all of this. The good and the downright bad. I’ve had conversations with the twins and solo as well as some of the elders about everything. They are worried that you are letting this power trip make you bigger than the family.” She says pausing on her words and taking a deep breath in and letting it out slowly. “The work you have done is unquestioned. Undeniable. I just don’t want everything to come to a crashing hault because of something that could’ve been done differently.”

all of the fighting put a weight on his shoulders. it renamed responsibility as blame and despite outward refusal to accept it, roman still knew the taste well enough to swallow it. when the twins had come to blows and solo's eyes spoke a warning he's tried his best to ignore.. roman's restless and, sat at the edge of the bed, he'd not allowed trinity further than arm's length before the pair of his had sought her waist, circled it, and tugged her close. pulled flush for the purpose of pressing his face to her stomach in a heavy, deflating sigh.
