CHILDHOOD ;

Born and raised in Mexico for the first seven years of their life, Denali was a lovely and very welcomed addition to the happy couple and family, adding onto the growing list of cousins running around their abuelos house during family gatherings.

As a child, Nali spent most of their days at their Abuela's house with her cousins while their parents were off at work. As much of a hassle as the group of littles were, Nali was definitely among the ones that didn't make it easy. They were far too energetic, always running after the chickens in the backyard or climbing trees and daring some of their other cousins to try and reach them.

It often lead to many scraped knees, minor injuries and cries that'd result in Denali and some of the other cousins being grounded... As grounded as they could be when they saw each other daily, anyway.

Life as they knew it would change for the worse one day during a block party celebrating an engagement from one of their neighbors, the community was tight knit and all Denali knew. Even they were also considered family despite not being blood.

The party would be cut short when it was crashed by strangers with dark crimson eyes that moved far too quick for the human eye with a superhuman strength they'd only seen depicted on tv and movies. Chaos ensued with screams and sobs replacing the music and laughter that'd been there only minutes ago. The pretty decor that'd been strung up had now been splattered with blood and it wasn't until Denali looked down that they'd noticed blood pooling only a few feet away where her dead uncle now lay motionless.

Unsure of when or how her mom had managed to find her in the commotion, a young Denali was stuffed into a car with a few others that'd managed to escape alongside them. Shaking with fear and forced to look forward rather than back at the scene of the crime, it wasn't until Nali looked around to notice her dad wasn't in the car with them which caused the young child to go into hysterics yet again.

Everything after that was a blur to them yet it was something that'd haunt them for many years to come. As a 7 year old Denali would not be getting any answers, just the sugarcoated stuff which would leave her frustrated to no end, it was still something that traumatized the child nonetheless.

LA PUSH MOVE ;

Moving to America and leaving what was left of the paternal side of their family was daunting and something Denali had no choice but to deal with. It was a total culture shock and hard on Nali and her mom as they did their best to process the trauma.

Denali lived in fear that the monsters would've followed them to La Push but their mother assured them it wouldn't happen, that they had powerful protectors in their small town. That was when Denali started hearing about the tribes stories and how this had originally been their mom's home before moving away and meeting her dad. The stories would bring the tiniest semblance of ease and silence the worries and fear that floated around Nali's head.

La Push was different... a little too peaceful and quiet compared to the town they were raised in, but it was nice and with time it'd grow on Denali.

SHAPE-SHIFTER TRANSITION ;

Although the tales of the Quileute tribe brought Denali ease as a kid, it was something they wouldn't think of much as an adult. Not that they'd stopped believing in them, but, well, it wasn't something they necessarily thought would happen. Much less to her of all people.

With the growing presence of vampires around Forks, Port Angeles and those that trespassed into La Push territory, Denali started to grow irritable at the smallest things. Sarcastic quips would turn into rageful arguments that would toe the line of physical altercations.

The mood swings were a nightmare to deal with, especially for their mother who didn't know what to make of any of it.

A heated argument with someone at the house of a friend she'd been visiting, who'd become one of Nali's packmates, triggers her phase. Fortunately they'd been on their way out and no one had gotten hurt, but their bike had paid the price for Denali's temper that'd been out of control.

Unexpected and a total shock as only males were believed to only be able to phase, Denali was left without an option but to join Sam's pack and learn to navigate this world that'd been living right under her nose.

HEADCANONS & PERSONALITY ;

Denali was learning how to play the guitar prior to their fathers death, it was a hobby they picked up again a few years after moving to La Push. It's her way of keeping his memory alive.

Speaking of Nali's dad, he might be alive and a vampire.. idk.. and if he was and Nali found out, he'd still be dead to them anyway. How could you live with being the very same monster that ruined your life?

They dropped out of college a few semesters in much to their mother's dismay. For a while they stayed at their retail job and on the side would practice tattooing with the kit they'd ordered online. Somewhere along the line they'd gotten an apprenticeship and have been a tattooer ever since.

Denali's still trying to get control of their shifting and temper/mood swings. They're a smartass and can be hostile, depending on your species... but they're also a chaotic queer. Duality of man and all of that.

HUMAN LIFE ; 

Rather than having Heidi be born in Germany I’m changing that to Mexico. I’ll just say that Hilda was taking a nice lil vaca to Central America and then found her, changed her [out of pity as per wiki] and they were off back to Europe, babeyyy !

Prior to being turned into a vampire she had a hard and mistreated life but wiki doesn’t go into depth about her past so I Will.

Her family didn’t come from money but from a young age she was destined to be forced into an arranged marriage when she came of age.

Being the stubborn and argumentative girl that she is she tried to put it off as long as she could. Persuading her parents to at least hold off on the marriage and wait until she grew out of her teenage years.

There were various suitors and admirers as she’d always been beautiful. A few sparked her interest but it didn’t matter when her parents treated her like property.

On her 21st birthday she got married to the man that her parents chose (or the one who could essentially out buy the others) and it was a very unhappy marriage. She loathed him; he was controlling and wouldn’t allow her to speak with others unless it was through him. Soon enough he was demanding for her to birth him a son.

Heidi was to stay inside, tending to the house, cooking and caring for their kids. Which, she never gave him a son but two girls.

To her relief he had left her alone for awhile, instead choosing to get involved with another woman. Heidi would eventually find out and couldn't bring herself to care as long as he wasn’t on her case.

She hated what became of her life, always trying to sneakily make friends and seek help.

One evening when he returned from work, rumor had gotten out that Heidi was becoming rather friendly with another man of their town. She’d denied these accusations as she was innocent, unlike him. Heidi turned it on him and paid the price for it.

Had it not been for Hilda passing by and overhearing the commotion, Heidi was good as dead. Hilda took care of it as Heidi writhed in pain during her transformation and upon waking up from the transformation all she cared about was satisfying her thirst. Far too grateful to Hilda for saving her life and making her better, Heidi would’ve followed her creator anywhere.

During her time with Hilda’s coven, she discovered her ability to appeal to others with her charm, causing humans to easily fall prey and vampires to find her extremely attractive.

VOLTURI INITIATION ;

The coven’s newest member, Noela, was still a newborn when the Volturi accused them for attracting too much attention with their large coven. In truth, Aro saw her potential and wanted to acquire Heidi to his “collection” because of her gift. After Hilda was executed, Aro decided that Heidi was penitent and spared her; Chelsea then bound her to the Volturi.

Heidi became a key member of the Volturi. Her primary duty is orchestrating elaborate ploys to bring human victims to Volterra for the sustenance of the coven. She is required to bring them from far away, without leaving a trail or bringing attention.

GIFT : P H Y S I C A L - A T T R A C T I O N

Heidi’s beauty is exceptional, mesmerizing and unforgettable, and supported by her power to physically appeal to people, human or vampire; man or woman.

Though resisting her attraction is possible, it’s hard to succeed, especially if she is trying hard to attract someone. Aro found her power useful in fishing for “food”, as anyone who comes near her finds her overwhelmingly appealing.

HEADCANONS & PERSONALITY :

Heidi has enjoyed watching the world change around her and is one of the few Volturi members who openly embraces technological advances and what not, despite how it could also be used to expose them.

She knows a whole lot about coding and photoshop from creating believable websites and banners in order to scam humans from countries away into trusting her word.

I feel as if many people always play Heidi as very Vixen & a bitch type-esque? Which isn’t necessarily bad because that’s her sexy prerogative!! But she can be very playful and a tease. 

If you’ve ever seen that Publizity skit where Liz says ‘Well, I love to have fun’ in response to the other Liz judging her choices, that’s Heidi.

Secretly, she's always seen her beauty as a gift and a curse. As a human it'd bring her unwanted attention, from men mostly, wanting or hoping to get something out of her and it was hard for her to befriend other women who weren't envious of her. As a vampire she at least gets to use it as a weapon of sorts, but I still do think she'd find it hard to make genuine connections. Just because she's part of the Volturi doesn't necessarily mean they all get along or care deeply for one another, personalities are bound to clash. But there's a handful of people she does care about, whether they're in the coven or not.
