angelica is the older cousin of tyler, her father is richards brother. while they were not residing in the lockwood mansion, she grew up in one of the many other mansions in the area and had more money than she would ever know what to do with.
her life was relatively good, she never went without and was the apple of her parents eyes. she was the it girl in school in her time and was miss mystic falls.
after high school she went to whittmore to major in biological sciences to eventually become a nurse. while in school she met a guy, she fell in love and the two were inseparable.
the relationship soon grew toxic, it was verbally and physically abusive. it was something angelica no longer wanted a part of and broke up with him.
once the relationship was over, everywhere she went he would show up somehow. it came to a point where one night he broke into her dorm room and it was a battle. one that angelica "won" with keeping her life but in her self defense, she took his and in doing so triggered her wolf gene.
after her first full moon, she confronted her parents and got the truth of the "lockwood curse" and has since had to deal with it in her life.
all the while, she never let her studies falter and even managed to graduate early in her nursing pursuit and has since been a nurse at the local hospital.
