             “Home.  I’ve been —— for lack of a better word, exploring these              woods for a few weeks, but I think it’s time I return.  My father              rules a kingdom far off from this side of the woods, and it’s likely              necessary that I return at some point.”                                  Mostly true, although he doubts his return is of that much                                 importance.  Continuing, the pail in hand, he looks to her.                                  She’s certainly not happy, as far as he can see.  She’s                                 optimistic, though, and that’s important.              “I was just a bit too curious to stay over             there, truly.  It’s nice to explore a bit.”

                              she had stopped walking momentarily,   contorting                               into a curtsy with her head bowed.    unable to help                               it, though, ella couldn't help but notice how different                               he  was  than  most  of  the royalty that she had run                               into thus far. he was KIND.

             “You don’t seem to enjoy it, Ella.  I would              like to call you by your given name, if you              allow it.  If Cinderella makes you more              comfortable, I can do that as well.”                              Though, really, he doesn’t understand that.  It seems                              cruel, but he’s not going to interfere in her family                              matters.  Perhaps it really was a joke.  Taking the                              bucket, noting it’s weight (minimal to him, but she was                              rather slight - was it not too heavy for her?), and                              nodding his head.              “It’s my pleasure to assist you.  You’re helping            me, after all.  I must repay you in some way.”

                        ❝ i--i rather DON'T, actually.  enjoy it, that                             is.              but sticks and stones, right?                             --anyway,      if you'd like to call me ella,                             you may. ❞ 

                                           brown eyes flickered down to the path, ella                                            started toward the left. a busier, more tree-                                             laden area.         pulling back a branch for                                             herself and james,    she glanced back at                                             him.

             “They call you Cinderella, or your name is Cinderella?                 I’d prefer to know what you wish to be called, madam.”                                Not that he’s exactly well known in these parts, he’s                                still the prince of a Kingdom (technically), though                                not one that’s nearby.  He’s expected back to his kingdom                                soon, and will likely be late to his own celebration.               “I’ll carry that for you, if you’d like.  It’s all I               can likely due to repay your kindness.”

                                          a smile was offered in echange for james'                                           kindness  as  she  gave  him  the  bucket.                                           with her size and strength, it would have                                           taken an HOUR just to get back to her                                           cottage.
