Wanting to go to a party was completely out of Bryanâs nature but he was starting to think he was wasting his life away by not getting out more often. He was already a senior in high school and he hadnât ever attended to one single party. He had decided to drag one of his friends, Blue, along having begged her ceaselessly. The moment they walked into the rather loud atmosphere, Bryan was practically dragging her along in his search to find something to drink. A little alcohol would always help loosen things up. He briefly let go of her hand to grab a drink before offering one out to her, âCome on, drink up! Youâre like one of the prettiest girls I know and super rad â so what do you have to lose?â
This wasnât what Blue had been expecting when Bryan wanted to hang out. In fact, she had been fairly certain he was the type to avoid parties. She had a feeling he got some sort of confidence boost, what with the way he was dragging her around, but she had know idea where it might have come from. Of course, now that they were here she couldnât exactly ask without having to yell over the music and people. âUm, nothing much, just all of my dignity when I get drunk and do something stupid.â She took the smallest of sips, not sure of what it was an absolutely positive she was a lightweight. âNot to mention I donât even really know what to do at these sorts of things.â

Why had this happened? Hella had no idea, but for now she appeared to be a floating, incorporeal spirit. Though, she wasnât sure how to act - surely this should be a more distressing experience, yet it wasnât. While pondering this, and many other questions, Hella did something she maybe thought she shouldnât - pass through someone on the street. âShit!â The woman exclaimed, because it felt weird to do that, even for her. âSorry! Iâm still not 100% on ghost etiquette,â
Blue just stood in silence for a few moments, eyes wide as she stared at the women who literally walked through her. âWell, it was definitely uncomfortable. Not from a physical feeling, just emotionally.â She let out the breath she hadnât realized she was holding. It wasnât like she had been hurt. There was no reason to freak out. Instead she tried to keep a regular conversation going. âMy aunt claims she can talk to spirits. Maybe she knows the rules youâre supposed to follow to seem polite as a ghost.â
like/reply for a starter: blue has become invisible to everyone except herself

blue told herself she wasnât going to mess around. she was just going to sit and wait. surely her family would come home and take notice of her eventually. not just that, but they were all weird enough that they probably wouldnât even care that blue was invisible. sure, theyâd probably try to clean her energy to fix it, but she could deal with that. eventually though, she had gotten restless. blue went out, promising herself she would just walk around, get some fresh air, and then head home until she could figure things out. walking around though, she couldnât help but notice someone, someone alone. it was too easy, to walk up right behind them where they couldnât notice, and lean over close to their ear. âhey, itâs me, your dead relative. listen, i donât know how long iâll be able to talk to you like this, but i need your help, for um, for revenge.â
M!A: Youâve become invisible to everyone but yourself.
âI shouldnât be seeing this as an opportunity to pretend to be a ghost haunting people, but you know, just something to consider.â

With everything Rey had been through she hadnât had much time to focus on herself or her own personal needs, but after learning that on this planet you could purchase things with the swipe of a piece of plastic she found herself yearning to find comfort in materialistic needs. She wasnât sure if she was ever going to see her friends again or get home (wherever home was) in general but she wanted to sweep those negative thoughts under the rug or so to speak. She walked down the street of this strange village with french fries and milkshake in hand, having ordered it from an odd restaurant. She was in the process of stuffing a few fries in her mouth when she noticed someone was staring at her. She swallowed the mouthful down before offering the paper container out to the other, âDo you want some? I canât believe how good these things are! Iâve never tasted anything like it before! I canât stop eating them either.â
Blue had thought she was over the need to be psychic like her family. Now though, stuck in a town she didnât know without any of her friends, that desire to be able to see more came back strong. She had been walking down the street, just kicking rocks up, wishing she at least had her bike so there was something to do, when she noticed another girl walking along with fries. She couldnât help but stare. Sure, if wasnât yogurt, but Blue was hungry. She paused, considering the otherâs offer, before shrugging. It wasnât like she knew Blue or could be offering out of pity. âSure. Thank youâ She said, grabbing a few fries and eating happily. âYouâve never had them before? Theyâre like the go to fast food, especially with McDonalds everywhere. Do they not have McDonalds where youâre from?â
Do you miss Gansey?
âUm, yeah? Am I supposed to get embarrassed and try to pretend I donât? Who would believe that? Heâs a horrible pretentious dumb ass and if I see his boat shoes ever again I might have to call it quits, but heâs also managed to be pretty amazing and yeah I miss him.â
Piper was used to many strange things happening in her daily life, but it was easier to handle when she had the emotional support of her sisters â which was something she was currently lacking. Another thing currently missing was her family spellbook, something that would have been extremely helpful in a time like this. She tentatively rubbed at her temples in frustration before allowing her emotions to get the best of her, her powers causing a potted plant in front of her to completely shatter into tiny pieces. A look of surprise formed on her features as she noticed someone else had seen the occurrence, âCan we like⌠pretend you didnât see that? I mean, pots randomly shatter all the time, right?â She tried to laugh it off, not necessarily comfortable with anyone knowing about her special gifts.
Blue couldnât help but jump when the potted plant near her shattered. She hadnât been paying too much attention. Her mind was running at a million miles a minute, trying to connect nonexistent puzzle pieces and figure out what on earth was going on here. It would have been so much easier with Gansey here. In fact, she was pretty sure heâd be all over this. âWell first of all they donât.â Blue said, turning her attention to the woman nearby. âAnd second even if they did the fact that youâre insisting on me forgetting about it makes it pretty suspicious like you had something to do about it.â Not that Blue was quite sure how. She didnât seem close enough to the now broken pot. âWhatâs the point in trying to lie to a stranger?â
Alright, so⌠the mystery of where she was had yet to be solved. But, Wendy had been excited to find a book in her bag and had settled herself on a bench to try and get some of it read. Right when she opened it to where the bookmark was, she was instantly frustrated to learn that she had no memory of reading the first half of it. Sighing, Wendy paused, deciding to see what sort of other clues her bag had as to where she might be, but found that it contained next to nothing: a wallet, with what looked to be a little money, a key ring with two keys, some hard candy, and a strange looking, black rectangle. Pulling out the rectangle, Wendy studied it, flipping it over in her hands. Some teenagers walked past, their heads buried in what looked like similar rectangles, but theirs were lighting up. Frowning, Wendy looked back to the device, knowing for a fact they had nothing like it back home and trying to figure out how to turn it on. The other kids had gotten too far away, so Wendy awkwardly approached the next person who came along, holding out the cell phone.  âI am dreadfully sorry to interrupt you. And this does seem like an incredibly embarrassing question, but⌠you wouldnât know how to work this, would you?â
The fact that Blue wasnât even too surprised by the situation aid a lot about her life. Sure, she didnât remember ever being here before, but that didnât mean anything. She was already convinced she was on top of a ley line. That amount of energy could pull her to another town without any warning, she was sure of it. Still, she had planned on getting confirmation. It had taken her a little while, but now that she knew where the library was she was walking fast and with a purpose. She needed to get a map of the ley lines, and fast if she intended to get home any time soon. Still, she slowed down, shooting the stranger a glance when they approached her. âSort of.â Blue didnât really want to help. Not only did she have more important things to do, but she had only been able to afford a phone recently. She could probably help, but it wasnât her area of expertise. Still, what was she going to do, just walk away? Blue sighed. âWhat are you trying to do with it?â

Bert let out a laugh. It echoed in the night air as steam rose from his mouth in puffs. âIâm not gonna judge ya,â He said, voice full of humor. âYou could dip âem in the lake for free. But I guess theyâd freeze,â Bert was touched by her concern if he were being honest. He held his hands up in mock-surrender. âNow, donât you worry missus. Iâve slept in far colder. And besides, whoâd rob someone like me? I ainât got nothinâ to take.â He gave a quizzical shrug, pouting a bit. âWell, maybe my hat but Iâd fight for that,â
Blue managed to offer a small grin back at him. âYeah, plus then it would smell all swampy, which is definitely not ideal for optimal sleep.â If there were a few things she would consider spending a little extra money on getting good sleep would definitely be on the list. She shrugged. âBored teens looking for any sort of trouble.â She wouldnât put it past people to try and rob a guy sleeping on a bench, especially people with too much time. âIt is a nice hat. Definitely worth hitting a guy for.â She was joking now, managing to relax a little despite still being half convinced the man would be frozen when she biked by in the morning.

blue sat on the floor picking at the yogurt cup in her hand. it was her third as she had insisted on eating as many in the fridge as she could. she claimed it was because the power in the old house was flickering on and off and that they would go bad if she didnât eat them but that wasnât really the case considering he power always tended to come back rather quickly. she felt a little weird with a stranger in her house but she had seen the other outside as the blizzard had started going and insisted that they come in. âso, um, this is pretty boring huh? we could try to talk to some ghosts if you want. thereâs definitely a ouija board stuffed in one of the closets here.â that had never been used considering her family quickly decided it was worthless garbage. âwe could probably even use the fancy candles my mom buys for readings.â
Bert peeked out from under his cap at the approaching stranger. She looked concerned and he wondered for a moment if heâd been giving off a wounded soldier vibe. âDandy, Iâd say,â he called out, a smiling growing on his face. âGosh, I couldnât ask you for that, missus. Ifâin I did itâd end up filthy. I roll in my sleep yâknow,â Bert gave the girl a thumbs up, knowing that she had meant well. It wasnât that he wasnât in the habit of taking charity, but he tried to limit himself on how often he did.
@ofmirrormagic continued from here.
âHey i never said it would be a super clean blanket. Laundry is expensive.â Usually she was a little weird talking about her social status. There was enough weird things about Blue. She didnât need people to go off on the fact that she was poor too. Still, she was talking to a man sleeping on a bench and she had a feeling he couldnât judge her. âWell if youâre sure youâre fine. Iâm going to be pretty pissed if I pass by here tomorrow to get to work and youâre frozen to death on the bench.â Especially after he turned down a blanket. âNow you just have to hope you donât get robbed.â
From the chiming of Sparkwoodâs clock, Bert knew that it was ten oâclock. He lay on the park bench. His hat was pulled down over his eyes to spare them from the glare of the street lights. The night was, thankfully, rather mild so he was comfortable sleeping in the park with nothing more than a thick woolen jacket to cover him. Sure, it might not have be strictly legal for him to sleep there, but he figured as long as he wasnât bothering anyone, it was no harm done.
It wasnât rare for Blue to be out at this hour. It was typically the time she managed to close the restaurant and head home. Of course, usually she was on her bike but unfortunately tonight she was walking. She was nearly home when she spotted a guy lying down on the bench. Despite her best judgement, which said she should not be talking to homeless people alone at night Blue approached him. âUm, you alright there?â She asked bluntly, tilting her head. âDo you need a blanket or anything?â Not that she was sure what she had at home that she didnât need herself, but she could at least offer.
sabrinathewitchywitch:
Sabrina had told her date she would be getting something to drink before anything else. The ball was fun and all, but she was sure that maybe it wasnât Loreâs thing, and that made her want to spice up the place. Out of nowhere, she heard a girl speaking to her? Or maybe it was to herself, but Sabrina couldnât help but answer. âActually, Iâm having a good time.â She smiled, looking around at the others as they swayed in their dresses. âGet laid?â She asked with a shrug, there really wasnât much but the obvious.Â
Blueâs neutral face immediately shifted into a small frown. âHard pass.â Sheâd barely even kissed anyone before. She wasnât going to go run off with some preppy boy here just to try and fix her night up. She couldnât even see how it would make things better. Blue knew she would rather suffer here on the wall alone. âI doubt anyone here is my type.â She really doubted she could let some rich guy take her home without making a snide comment about his lifestyle and ruining everything. âPlus, I think the time it takes to get out of an outfit like this would kill the mood.âÂ
Yunoâs legs swung aimlessly as their freshly manicured nails dug into the wooden bench they were currently sitting upon. A white Christmas was something they always adored and the excitement hadnât dissipated even after the holiday had come to an end now. A smile curled onto their lips the moment someone took a seat beside them, gaze drifting over to meet theirs. It was just then their eyes both met and they couldnât help but smile. âLook at that, we both looked at each other at the same time â maybe weâre like soulmates,â they chuckled, trying to pass it off as a joke.
Blue had been walking around for a little while. There was something serene and quiet about the time around the holidays, when everyone was still spending time with their families. She couldnât pass it up. She had eventually gotten tired, moving to sit down on a nearby bench. Blue had spared a quick glance at the person sitting next to her when their eyes met. âOh yeah, maybe I guess.â She commented, a small huff of laughter following the words. That sort of stuff, as much as Blue loved in concept, she always forced herself to push away. No point in dwelling on something that couldnât be real. Still, she couldnât help but consider it now. âDo you think a soulmate could actually be real though? Like somewhere in the universe there could actually be someone made to be perfect for you?â

if there was one thing blue had quickly learned it was that she was bad at getting presents. she had never really done it before. her family didnât buy christmas presents for each other, and she never had friends that she was close enough to to need to shop for. overall she felt like she was definitely bad at it. she had gone with a necklace, a simple pendant, as well as a book. well, it was less of a story and more of one of those collections of short poetry, but blue was pretty sure those were popular right now. plus, it was much easier than trying to stalk the girl and figure out what books she liked. that would definitely be too weird. âcindy, right?â blue asked, quickly walking up to her. she just wanted to get it over with. âhere.â she thrust out the two neatly wrapped boxes. âmerry christmas or whatever you celebrate. if you donât like it i will totally respect if you decide to re-gift it.â
Spirits of Yule
Just gonna put this out there, this is one of the worst things Iâve ever done. But this year my aunt is convinced that some sort of holiday spirits exist, so weâre all writing letters so she doesnât freak out. Honestly, if I really thought there were spirits I wouldnât write this. Iâd take the risk just to see if they showed up. Maybe then I could understand what my family does. Or, at the very least, I could try to fight whatever spirits show up at my door, which would be satisfying in its own way.
I donât really want anything for Christmas. Iâm used to not getting much. Some yogurt cups would be cool. Itâs not exactly a special present since I buy them for myself all the time but itâs guaranteed to be something I enjoy. Leave it in the early morning though so they arenât like warm underneath the tree. Maybe a new pair of sneakers. Mine are kind of worn out from being worn to work every day. I donât know and I donât really care. Itâs just a day some dude was born. I donât need anything. Some new sewing needles also. Iâve been trying to add pieces of a quilt to this one jacket I have but I keep losing my needles.
If anything though I would just like to have all of my family together. Not like I have any other friends to spend the time with. So if some weird ass spirits send my aunt running off âm going to be pretty pissed. I didnât take two days off from work for anyone to be missing.
