Sometimes, the past is so much better than the present. The past can be the happiest time of a person's life, and one false turn can change everything. Change is hard and often scary. Change can hurt as much as it can help, and desperation to avoid change is most common in people who are in love with the current standing of their life. As much as it hurts to change for these people though, the effects are inevitable. The challenge is how you deal, and Deanna Raye Winchester didn't deal. She never will. Not with this. She was pretty sure she was losing her bearings  Auriel is Castiel's sister. A favorite if memory served her correctly. Deanna was Castiel's, whatever the hell they were. Auriel didn't like Deanna and Deanna sure as fuck wouldn't be adding her to her Christmas card list if she had one. Deanna's lips pursed. Auriel had always be nothing short of a bitch in her book. Sure, Dee dealt them right back, but there was something about insulting the celestial being that packed the punch harder than the blonde cared to admit to. Surely, she'd be the last person she'd turn to for help. It was principle. Then again, Deanna was desperate. She needed to know where her angel went and how, even if that meant she had to take the crude angel's comments. What was so hard about that? Deanna frowned deeply, tiptoeing through her apartment, why she had one? Cas. Why she kept it? No one really fuckin' knows. Not even Dee. All she needed was something Auriel touched. It shouldn't have been as hard as it actually was. The girl touched everything! Stalking into their guest bedroom, Deanna, tugged a photo frame from beside the bed, looking down at the image held inside. No time to reminisce.  Deanna dropped the piece of hair trapped between the glass into the contents of her summoning spell. Sitting back on her heel, the woman shut her eyes, willing herself to block her thoughts from Auriel. She'd show. She always did, or she used to.

"Mm. What can I do for ya, featherduster?"
