“That is amazing Kronk, must be good to get away from Yzma and start your own life.” She said bringing the food from the kitchen. “If you need to go, you can I don’t want to keep you here.” She said going to her purse and pulling out some money. “ I can give you gas money or you can get a air high five.” She smiled.

❛i love how you knew what i meant . ❜ he says with a small smile on his lips as he shakes his head and looks at the brunette ❛ oh no , i didn’t mean like that .  ❜ he pushes his her hand away and shoves his phone in his back pocket ❛ i meant it as if you wanted to get something to eat , like as a thank you or whatever . you don’t have to come with me if you don’t want to you know ?  ❜ he was so awkward at things like this, he never wanted to overstep a line, which was why he decided to keep to himself most of the time .

“and I will feel bad for breaking one of your babies.” Oliver pointed out as he put his helmet under his arm. “Why didn’t you text me earlier? You know mom would stash you up for like a month.”

❛  see , this is why we are friends . you know my love for my children .❜ if there was anyone who appreciated the machinery of his bikes it was oliver. ❛ i was kidding . it’s okay . lux has become a really good cook and she’s been cooking frequently now .  ❜ he thinks of lux and smiles and shakes his head , thinking how domestic the pair had become. ❛ what are you doing after school, lux has this modeling thing and i’m fixing the ducatti , want to help ?  ❜

“okay, I will feed you, now that we are pretty much done.” She said with a smile. “My kitchen is over here.” She added on as she stood up. “No, I didn’t. I think valuing one persons life over the other is very wrong, regardless of the connections you have. I didn’t want to live with the fact if I votes and someone I didn’t vote for died, that would be on me and I don’t like that.”

❛  come on , let’s get going .  ❜ he murmured and maybe the question would have brought unnecessary comments . so he simply didn’t speak on it again . ❛ since you brought me to this oh so fabulous balloon party , it’s on me . where do you want to go ---- i’m good with anything but beans . ❜

“We’ve just never talked,she seems very into her own thing.” She shrugged , checking her phone listening to him. “ I get that people want to be forgiven and stuff but I’m not the forgiven kind of girl. He may not be a bad person but he hurt me and left. When he turned his back and went to New York he surrendered all friendship or anything kind of relationship with me besides me hating him.” She had warned Apollo what would happen if he left he agreed she didn’t see why she was expected to act any different. “Have you ever been a scout?" 

❛ yeah well she is just going through it. i don’t even know if she’s talking to me half the time  ❜ he decides to ignore the talk on apollo because he knows that when someone is going through a hatred cycle , it’s better not to intervene. ❛ um yes , i actually was , got all my badges and even got an award for being the best boy scout even though i never got to speak squirrel and that truly got to me . ❜ a memory to his favorite movie ; the emperors new groove. ❛ so are we almost done here ?  ❜

“no worries I’m not even on her radar.” She shook her head as she finished setting the table. “If you want to remain friends or even acquaintances I think the smartest thing you can do is never bring up that persons name ever again. Just one dumb mistake and my whole fucking life is different.” She said angrily. “ But I’m fine.” She turned and smiled.

❛ why would you say that ? ❜ he tilts his head to the side . he knew that lux was gorgeous and he cleared it every time to her but he didn’t think that lola was ugly or anything along those lines. hearing the rest of her words cause him to shake his head and a chuckle to fall from his lips ❛  look im not trying to pick sides  and I do remain friends with you because you make some bomb ass cupcakes but we all make mistakes lola, if you only knew the type that I have made . he’s not bad a person but fine I will not bring his name up again , scouts honor . ❜ 

“alright, fine, you can have all of my pity,” she laughed lightly. “mhm,” the blonde agreed with a nod. a sigh escaped her lips hearing the ‘but’ not that she blamed him. “i know. i dont feel obligated.” her head shifted slightly on the pillow as she looked at him. “i want to.” at least she knows she wants to want to. picking her head up she presses a kiss to his lips. “I do.” shes saying it to reassure not only him but also herself.

❛ yeah I want all of it . ❜ he whispered as he brushed his lips against hers ❛  well good , wouldn’t want you to . ❜ he whispers as he lets his lips press down on her cheek , his hands grab hers moving them up to pin them above her head slowly , he wanted to make sure she knew every move that he was going to make . grey hues focus on her chocolate ones ❛  is this okay ? ❜ he whispers as he hovers over her . 

“that sucks for you then,” she laughed, running her fingers through his hair lightly, “we can just..” shes hesitating briefly while her eyes travel over his features, “stay in bed all day.” she wants to mean it the same way she would have a couple of weeks ago. nodding, her hands move to his cheeks to pull him in for another kiss. “yeah?”

❛ no pity for poor old me ? ❜ he teases her words and smiles ❛  that’d be awesome . breaks fast in bed and a few other things . ❜ he didn’t want to push her , he knew that what she had went through was hell ❛   but —- ❜ he didn’t want to sour the mood but that was exactly what he was about to do ❛  I don’t want you to feel obligated to do something if you’re not ready yet . you don’t have to push anything , you do know that right ? ❜ he says as he strokes her cheeks with his thumbs .

taking the food out the oven she made her way back to living room, putting a tablecloth she couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re definitely invited, I’ll let your girlfriend enjoy whatever other skills you have.” She teased. Putting the plates on the table before bringing out the food. “Can you do me a favor and set up the speakers.

❛  yeah, lets not tell my girl friend about that .❜ he knew that he didn’t have anything to hide and lux wasn’t a jealous freak but he just didn’t want to give her any ideas . ❛  now were talking —- ❜ he says as he grabs the big speakers setting them on the table as he begins to fix the cables ❛  so since we’re friends and all that good stuff . have you spoken to apollo yet ? ❜ he knows that this is unmarked territory but he’s testing the water with her . 

shifting slightly she groans glancing at the time on the clock, “how is it morning already?” after stretching she wraps her arms around him and pulls in into her,”cant we just skip?” she knows she really shouldn’t miss another day but that doesn’t make her any more eager to go. 

he watches her as she sleeps and he can’t help but let a small smile cloud his lips ❛ because unlike you , I can’t sleep like I’m in hibernation ❜ he teases her as he presses a kiss to her lips as she wraps her arms around him ❛ well I might be persuaded to incline tour way. ❜ his lips trail down to her neck and then back up to her lips ❛ what would ms. healy like to do today ? ❜ he cocked a brow leaning to press another kiss against her lips

“ yeah, Things will get better eventually.” She said with a smile. “I think we are close to being done.” She said with a smile. “I rather not. Thanks for the offer though, I don’t want to be a key chain.” she said with a laugh. “We do. But I love heels. I mean have you really looked at them, they are so cute.”

❛ I will not take to offense that you don’t want to be my keychain as long as you feed me . ❜ he looked at his watch and didn’t even realize the time had passed by so much ❛ did you vote ? ❜ he stopped himself and looked at the strawberry blonde before him ❛ did you end up picking someone or did you ignore it ? ❜

“ thank you.” She sighed. Watching him walk to the kitchen, of he was anything like her brother he had no intention of listening to a thing she just said. Some boys think with their dicks and some think with their stomachs, something her mother always told her and she could tell what kind of person he was. Walking behind him she stood at doorway and watched him shaking her head. “Uh-huh. Out the kitchen sir.” She said putting the cake in the fridge. 

he was caught in the act and he didn’t even know if he could play it off but he simply gave up ❛ alright . ❜ he watches her as he makes his way to back to the living room where all the balloons were covering the floor and some on the roof . ❛ so am I invited to this little shindig or were you just using me for my mouth skills . ❜ he stopped himself and realized that came out wrong ❛ I didn’t mean it that way , at all . ❜

“ you should be able too.” Maverick said with a smile. “Yes, I know but those two are even smaller, and younger. And they are very angry.” She said with a laugh. “My mom remarried and they are made that we just moved houses to live with my step dad and his children.” She said with a shrug. “I’m just trying to keep the peace.” She added on as she tied off another balloon. “Also is rude to point out my vertical challenge problem. Why do you think I wear heels everyday.”

❛  look , i don’t know much about parents or siblings for that matter but i do know that you making your mom happy and trying to keep the peace as you say it , it’s the best thing that you can do . ❜ he nodded as he turned off the helium tank and turned towards her ❛  i mean it’s cute . i can carry you on my keychain , ❜ he teased her lightly as a chuckle escapes past his lips ❛ and the heels but , i just thought it was a girl thing you know . girls like heels .  ❜

“yeah,well his kids are dicks and hid grandchildren even bigger ones and he’s so sweet, I thought he should be appreciated.” She smiled. Getting closer to him sitting on the couch.“ You can have cake, it’s good cake I made myself but leave the cupcakes alone.” She tried to be stern.

❛ fine fine mom , i won’t get any .  ❜ he says as he kicks the balloons and makes his way to the kitchen where the cake was .  even when he was smaller he never listened when his mother told him that he could not eat the frosting. he simply didn’t like people telling him not do something because he would do the complete opposite . he looks at the tray that had more than ten cupcakes . without thinking twice he grabbed the red velvet and bit into it , turning around he spots the brunette ❛ in my defense ----- now you have an even number ❜

“no, not at all. Perfect on the asshole scale.” Mave said with a smile. “Eh, I care enough. But not that much.” She said with a shrug. She knew her mother had been through a lot with the divorce and re marriage. “They are just angry little people.” She said with a shrug. “Stick of their asses if I must say.”

❛ so a ten on the asshole scale ---- i think i can live with that . ❜ he lets a small smirk appear on his lips ❛  angry little people ? ❜ he quirked his brow up with his head tilted to the side as he looks at the strawberry blonde before him ❛  youre not that tall , you know that right ?  ❜

“sounds like a plan.” She said with a smile. “Yeah, thats what I like about you. Some people aren’t enough, others are to much. you are right in the middle.” She said with a smile as she grabbed another balloon to fill. “My mom’s 50th birthday, I want her to be showered in balloons.” She said with a smile. “My deadbeat siblings did not want to help, they are still mad at her for god knows what.”

❛  is that a nice way of you calling me mediocre ? ❜ he says with a small smile on his lips as he pulls another balloon out of the bag . ❛  well she’s very lucky to have a daughter like you who cares so much . ❜ he turns around his back facing her and he remembers his mother , he wondered what she would have been like . her face never leaves his mind but there are memories here and there that he can’t remember quite well ❛  well, if they don’t want to be a part of this , then they can suck it . you did an awesome thing for your mom and if they don’t want to help it’s on them . ❜

“it’s retirement party for the older gentleman I help out a few times a week since I was like ten ” she said putting up a streamer. A chuckle left her lips as she heard his question.“ There’s a cake and cupcakes, but don’t touch the cupcakes those are for him.”

❛ wow that’s really nice of you . ❜ it wasn’t that he wasn’t nice to people . he had carmen who had known him his whole life but she was his housekeeper ; yet he didn’t see her as such. ❛ how are you going to tell me not to touch the cupcakes , that’s like taking a kid to a candy's tore and telling him that he can’t have any. ❜

“yes, five zero.” She said with a smile. “That’s only 25 each.” She added on. “Not everyone accepts the please part when being asked something.” She said with a shrug. “You are the best for helping me with this.”

❛ alright let’s get these twenty five out of the way so that we can get something to eat because i am starving . ❜ standing up he grabs the packet of unopened balloons , ripping it he lets them fall on the table as he grabs the big helium tank and begins to blow them up ❛  im an asshole but not that much of an asshole. ❜ he says with a smile responding to her words about staying ❛  i am the best , thank you for acknowledging that . ❜ he begins to open another packet as he looks her way ❛ so why are we doing this again ? ❜
