This is something that really gets to me, the dislike and disregard that OC’s get here on tumblr; with an OC you’re not taking a character who’s already created and just writing them the way you interpret them. Yes, it’s hard to write a canon character because you are judged for your ships and how you portray them, and the competition between you and the others that play the same character. But with an OC, you have so much pressure to make them perfect. You can’t make them too strong, nor too weak, nor too perfect, nor too flawed. They can’t be related to canons, or they can be but people still bitch. They can’t be too slutty or people bitch. OC’s are important too because there’s no set interactions with other characters, it’s constantly new and exciting for their writers and the writer of the other muse because you never know if they’ll get along or not, or if they’ll fall in love or be best friends. OCS ARE IMPORTANT TOO. Yet we sit and judge every little aspect of them. Guys, a new year is coming. Let’s try to be a little more welcoming in 2015?

She’s got a grin atop her lips and why is that? Purely due to the fact that she has convinced Chase to be there, helping with the tree. Already there’s a fair amount of ornaments on the tree, but there’s no denying that his help is a bit welcoming. That is until glancing at the other, attention drawn onto the fact she cannot help herself with the way he settles there. “Chase,” she groaned softly, head lulling to the side to watch him, “mind helping me out or are you gonna continue to sit there and stare at my ass?” There’s an arch of her eye brow, body leaning back into the ladder, arms folding over her chest. “Or are you not going to do anything and not help me?” She’s got attention on him, teeth biting back her lower lip. “I’ll make you dinner if you help me.”
Lounging on the couch and watching her do all the work is definitely his idea of helping, the way she moves to cover the tree with ornaments and lights has her body doing that little arch, her back bowed as she bends and that's just why he likes to watch her - he knows how her body moves and it always captures his attention and draws him in. He almost hates it. A L M O S T. Pressing his had back against the fabric, his smirk draws across his lips. Before his body shifts so he can sit forward, pushing his hands against his knees as he stands up; moving over to place his hands on the ladder and look up at her with a grin. ❝ Maybe I have my mind on somethin' more than dinner. Mind doin' that if I help you put up these decorations ? ❞
