“why do you think there’s something to say?” because he was jamie stark, he never left house or spoke a word without an intended purpose, that was why. except for today, maybe. “I can’t just get coffee with an old friend?” 

“When isn’t there something to say?” Rosario valued efficiency, wanted things not to take longer than needed. She rolled her eyes. With a shrug, she said, “Oh, of course you can.” She continued, “I don’t have the time for mindless chit-chat, however.”

“i’m NOT being too loud, YOU’RE being too loud!” benjamin announced, loudly, as he thrust his index finger into the other person’s face. it was beyond obvious that he’d consumed one, if not, multiple alcoholic beverages - rendering him louder and more obnoxious than usual. 

“eh-eh, i saw that - put it back. “ tom scolded as he moved his jacket to show off the detectives badge on his belt. “ just cause i’m off duty doesn’t mean i can’t arrest ya’” the detective added, not really wanting to arrest someone today, that was so much paperwork and he had much more pressing matters weighing on his mind. 

Petty crime had never exactly been something Rosario cared about. The people she faced seemed much worse than common shoplifters, not worth her time even if they didn’t approve of their actions. “Can’t imagine most cops would care enough to arrest someone stealing a tomato on their day off. The dedication’s good at least.”

“it’s less funny out loud.” it took a lot for nikki to admit such a fault. actually, to be fair… it took a lot for her to admit any fault, in any situation, ever. rosario had caught her early - she was a little too groggy and a lot to out of it to want to get into it with this girl, especially when she seemed so unimpressed. “but yeah ; it did, for like, one whole minute. d’you know what being amused by something feels like? or do you always have a stick up your ass?” correction : nikki had no plans to get into it, but the filter that made her mean said differently.

“ — and there goes my ferret.” Irey said before grabbing the leash and then her pet. "Sorry Zorro gets excited so easily around new people and they just want to say hello. Sometimes I wonder who they learned that from.” She said as a quick giggled came out of her before she composed herself. “Please tell me they didn’t bite you or anything?” She said as giving them a quick look over.

  ‘ of course ;      ‘ connie hesitantly agreed,   ‘ anything you say can and will be held against you in the training room,     just so you’re aware,    but hey – if you have any requests for this weeks takeout food so you don’t have to take somebody’s elses, you could just drop it in the whatsapp.’ 

big, bambi brown eyes brimmed with tears. skylar was just so confused. she’s been running for so long, and it feels… natural, even though she doesn’t think she’s ever even ran a mile, let alone all over paragon. ❝ will ― will you help me ? i ― i think they all are high, or, ❞ she pauses. smart enough to have started to piece together what’s happening. ❝ or they’re sick, but they’re all just… i don’t know ! ❞ she’s scared, really. 

    ‘ god,   do you think those kids could just shut up for a second ? ‘   connie’s eye roll was aggressive, yet somehow laid back, apathetic the only way to describe the woman emotions.     moving closer to the only face in the crowd that she recognised, rosario // @offiicium , not really noticing or paying attention to how the other woman was acting in the situation.    ‘ these kids think that just because i did one thing for them one time,     i’m going to solve all their problems, like grow up and smell the coffee already – am i right or yeah? ‘ 

the ice in her drink clinked against the glass as she lifted it towards her mouth. her red lips wrapping around the straw as she locked eyes with the person next to her. “is this an open bar? i’m on my fourth free drink but that’s not impressive if the shits dirt cheap.”

Rosario raised an eyebrow. “It’s a free drink. Why does it matter how much someone paid for it matter?” She asked. shrugging her shoulders as she did so. She had a drink that was mostly ice and juice, a habit she picked up after years of being a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. 

bucky was, of course, security for this dance which found him standing outside, full combat outfit, just waiting for trouble to break lose. he hoped it just meant a few teens getting drunk that he’d have to tell off, but after the school’s last few events, he doubted he’d get the night off. rolling his shoudlers back, bucky spotted someone leaving the venue, whom he smiled to out of courtesy. “dance borin’, huh? i thought people loved ‘em? i certainly did back in the day. different dame every night an’ all that.”

In the lifetime that Rosario spent within S.H.I.E.L.D, she had never learned to turn off the part of her mind that was dedicated to S.H.I.E.L.D. She had tried when she was younger, tried with a recklessness that had only caused her pain. After a point, the music and the heat and the many fragrances got to her, and she pushed her way out of the venue, welcoming the cold fresh air. She looked over at Bucky, shaking her head. “I’m sure I’ll be back in there soon. Just needed a break from everything.”

“there’s no trust in this friendship,” ziva complained, though whether such a strong word could even be used was debatable, considering the grin that was beginning to make it’s way onto her face. she did try to sound more strict than she looked, but it was to little avail. “i’m not THAT bad. especially not now - shield doesn’t get me to do anything at the drop of a dime anymore, so you’d be harder pressed to make sure i DON’T show up.”
