I appear to have been granted some time to speak before I am executed; killed in an ungraceful way by a man who's fueled by rage, and spite. Even now he towers over me, watching as I speak my final words. He appears almost inhuman, this man. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that he wasn't.
I cannot express enough how disappointed I am in my fellow humans. This was supposed to be our moment! Our time to forget the past and face the future! To evolve and become empowered! But, instead, you let the man with the crowbar make the choice for you. You let him turn you onto a dark and stormy path; one from which you will never escape. I see nothing but violence and loss in your future. To my peers, who worked alongside me at Black Mesa: is this really the future you wanted to bring? If only you had worked alongside me, and our benefactors. We could have achieved so much. I'm deeply disappointed.
As for you, Dr. Freeman. There are no words to describe my feelings towards you as you currently stand. No good ones, anyway. You are a danger to humanity. ... Tell me, Dr. Freeman. What exactly is it that you have created? Can you name even one thing? ... I thought not. You bring destruction and pain wherever you go. I tried to negotiate a peace between us and the Combine. Now, you've soiled all chance at that. You've started a war you'll never be able to finish. You've plunged the world into chaos. You are not the protagonist you think you are, Dr. Freeman. You're a violent killer. A beast. A monster amongst men. Death come to kill me.
I die with the hope that you'll learn from your mistakes. All of you. For the final time: Breen, out.
