Europe owes nothing to Syrian refugees. The simple logic that because they have, they then must share is illogical. No society can absorb such a hundreds of thousands of immigrants in just a matter of months. Most of Europe is still reeling form the economic crisis. Where will these immigrants work? How will they learn the language? Please read up on these issues before you release bigoted "prayers" onto the internet.
First of all, let’s point out how European imperialism and NATO imperialism affects the course of this discussion. NATO is a world-wide organisation created and leaded by USA. As a matter of fact, the US imperialism and exploitation of resources policies are shared by every NATO member (27 European members). This means that European countries are guilty for the situation as they are profiting by their politics which means Europe is able to help to save the lives of millions of people. EU is totally capable of sending rents, clothes, food, money or anything to help where there is a humanitarian crisis.
Secondly. as Europe self-proclaimed itself as land of democracy and prosperity, breaking international human rights as inability of offering housing, medical care, food, work opportunity, safe health condition and education. And what is most harrowing from all of it is that all European countries are preventing them from crossing into Western Europe. There is a human right violations and most of us are closing their eyes to it
Thirdly, not only does the government violates Syrian refugees basic human rights, but also local people use refugees as a source to profit from.Recently, there was a discussion how Syrian refugees are overcharged with 10 euros for water. Europeans doesn’t realise the struggle of Syrians and how Assad’s regime are affecting and destroying their lives while we are showing their true opportunistic character.
Another thing which really bothers me is how UNESCO and the world is closing their eyes to the destruction of ancient temples in Syria, (two for the last week).
And now I ask you do we owe nothing? Is closing our eyes to what was happening in Syria because of Assad’s regime for years and years makes us innocent? What is more important to you - reeling from a economic crisis or saving a human’s life?
