There are a lot of ghosts in your house. Each one lives in a window, and they each peek in at different times of the day.

Your favorite is a young boy, smaller and happier than you.

His window is cracked and grainy, the oldest in the whole house, and sometimes it's hard to see through.

Another window boy, closer to your age and time, has put some work into fixing the cracked window up, and is doing a wonderful job of it. You don't often catch his face under the brim of his hat or the curl of his hair, but somehow you just know it's as mischievous as it is kind.

You used to have a different favorite, a boy in a sleek new window, with simple black borders and simple black sunglasses. His window is broken now, it's shards left deep marks in your fist and his face. You cried, and if he did you didn't see it.

You only see sunglasses boy in the faceless boy's window now, and you're terrified of the faceless boy. You cannot see his eyes but you know he is watching you, judging you from across the room. He broke his own window from the outside in, just to try and grab at you. The room filled with water and you would have drowned if you didn't have the good sense to block it back up until you could get it replaced.

Tonight you will sleep under the cracked window, with the bunny boy watching over you, drenching you in happy nights and simple joys. You hope the hat boy will pay a visit, and tell you about his harvest this year. You hope sunglasses boy will forgive you sometime soon.

They are more alive then you've been in a very long time.
