How I became The Game Advisor. So this is the smallish story on how I became The Game Advisor. So not many of you know me but my name is Jaime Rendon from California l, more or less a nobody but a very ambitious person. So ever since I was a kid I was always a huge fan of gaming, whether it was playing games, or learning about them, my love was gaming overall. I would always go to my local GameStop to the point that when I came of age I was offered a job there. I loved it, for a long time I loved being a GameStop employee. I love having the interactions with everyone and I loved meeting new gamers from all over, but that died down after a few years. The business part of GameStop was terrible, it felt like they didn't care about their employees or their customers, just about making a quick buck. I left GameStop about 3 years ago and was severely depressed. While I hated the company, I missed the amazing people I met through it, so I felt like their was this void that could only be filled by interactions like that again. I love gaming and I know I want it to be a part of my life for a while. Gaming has helped me through my darkest times and has also provided me some of my brightest and happiest moments. People tend to have a negative stigma to gamers and video games but we all know the truth. Gaming brings us together and I want to be a catalyst to help represent the good things of this amazing hobby we call gaming. I am and always have been a #gamer , that's something that will never change. So some of you may know and some may not, but this isn’t my first attempt at bringing The Game Advisors to life. I originally started with a twitch channel at Twitch.tv/TheGameAdvisors. The first time around I took it slightly serious, working my way up through the twitch ranks and making it to at least be affiliate, but I feel like I did it the wrong way, so I decided to scrap everything associated with that twitch channel and start over. I still have the channel but have lost a lot of followers since i’ve been inactive on it for months now. My plan is to start it up again in the coming weeks and focus on having live commentary on top of the news stuff that I will be posting on Instagram (@OGGameAdvisor), Twitter (@OGGameadvisor) and Tumblr (@officialgameadvisor). Bringing the twitch channel back up, I feel, would be a great way to have more conversations with the wonderful people following me on the platforms I stated below. I will also be a way to express myself in a more humanistic way so you all can get to meet the person behind the posts. Still not sure if i’ll do facecam again, but maybe haha. So I'm starting to take this channel in the right direction. Last night I finished a rough edit of a news video regarding the announcement of the Nintendo Switch Lite. I will be posting the video here shortly and would love everyone's opinion. It's going to be apparent that I'm not very good at video editing just yet, but I know with practice things will get better. Going through these steps gives me a greater appreciation for those that do this on a daily basis. Whether it be updating their blogs every day on tumblr, posting here on Instagram, or even just sending out tweets. Whoo!! Got through the new Dungeon solo Flawlessly and got myself a new triumph! #destiny2 #badjuju #onlytheessentials #seasonofopulence So for those that don't know, Destiny 2's recent update added the Tribute Hall where you can begin the quest to reclaim the Bad Juju exotic pulse rifle from Destiny 1. There is a triumph called Only The Essentials that challenges you to try and complete that dungeon flawlessly!
