I never stated that I was not flawed. Nobody granted this power to me; I deemed this the necessary approach to governing the Officalverse.

I preach democracy for that is the practice we shall be using. I myself will have no power after the election. The President and Government will be ruling.
The only power I exercised was paving the way for democracy.
yet that is power in and of itself. you are a puppet master, a kingmaker. who writes the polls, who hosts them? why, you, of course. you may not be the ruler, but they dance at your command.
I oversee the process and officiate the contracts. You may interpret this as me having power, but I will not do anything to get my will through. Should the people nominate a party I don't agree with, and should that party overthrow the parliament, I will not be preventing them. I will be watching and listening to their arguments; not refuting them.

The Rules
The Elections
7 days before the beginning of every month an election will be held. All parties will be placed on a public poll, which will be up for 7 days. The next election is on March 24th, 2026.
After the election, parties must try and form a coalition government, where parties can agree on policy and power conditions to form a Government. To form a successful Government you must have the majority of the votes between the parties in the Government. A party sitting in the government may leave at any time, potentially collapsing the Government, which will cause a new election.
The President
The President will be from the Party in the government that received the most votes. The Head of that Party will choose who will get to be President, and are allowed to choose themselves. There is no limit to the amount of times a President may be President, other than that they cannot serve more than 2 consecutive terms.
The President has the power to dissolve the Government, and must approve all changes proposed by the Government. The President will choose their Vice President upon inauguration. The Vice President will succeed the President should the President die, resign, or otherwise be disposed of. A President may also call for an election at any given time, apart from during an ongoing election. The President can propose their own changes with out approval of the Government, including conviction an Offical.
The Leader of the Opposition
The Leader of the Opposition will be chosen by the Head of the Party that received the most votes that is NOT in the Government. The Leader of the Opposition should challenge laws implemented by the Government, and has the power to call votes of no confidence.
A vote of no confidence can be either for the parliament to vote on or a public poll; it is the decision of the Leader of the Opposition. If the majority (>50%) vote yes, the President will be removed from office. The most frequently they can be called is once every week.
The Government
The Government will consist of any parties that successfully formed a coalition to surpass the 50% voting threshold. The Government must propose all changes to the parliament, who will vote on the decisions. The President must also approve all changes from the Government. The Government may propose for any Offical to be convicted of a crime, in which case the Parliament will vote.
The Head of a Party has the power to withdraw their Party from the Government. If they do so, and the Government now has less than 50% of the votes, the Government will be dissolved and a new election will be held.

The Parliament
The Parliament consists of all politicians with the amount of votes in percentage their Party received on the election. If a party with 5 people receives 25% of the votes, each member will have 5 seats. Should there be a percentage left over, the Head of the Party will have additional seats. The Parliament must approve all reforms from the Government with a majority of the voting members voting yes. The Parliament must even approve if the Government wishes to convict somebody.

The Convicted
If you are convicted, you cannot hold a political position. You can either be convicted by a qualified judge, or by the majority of the Parliament voting to convict you.

The Parties
Any Offical may form a party, and anybody may join a party. I will provide a short description of each party alongside their political leaning. Whoever forms a party is automatically Head of the Party, but can give this position to anyone else at whim. You may only be a member of 1 party at a time. Parties can be closed down if the majority of the Parliament vote so.

Communist Citrus Coalition
The Communist Citrus coalition is a far-left progressive anarcho-communist party led by @lemonade-offical. It strives for fairness of the people of the Officalverse.
Communist Party of the Officalverse
The Communist Party of the Officalverse is a far-left communist (Maoist) party led by @mao-the-dong-offical. They would like to achieve communism and equality, as well as renaming the Officalverse to the People's Republic of the Officalverse.
The Food Items' Association
The Food Items' Association is a far-left party led by @garlic-bread-offical. It strives for anti-discrimination, minority inclusivity, world peace, no infighting, and promises to never deport anyone. The other members are @breadcrumb-offical, and @vanilla-extract-offical.
Bleach
Bleach is a centre-left environmentalist party led by @gabenugget1141-offical. They would like more Officals and to be remembered.
Temuism Party
The Temuism Party is a centre-right liberal party led by @temu-offical. They are working for free market capitalism with minimalist Government control, and freedom for everyone. The other member is @fashion-tyrant-offical
Capitalist Party
The Capitalist party is a centre-right liberal party led by @capitalist-pig-offical. They would like a free market where everybody strives to make themselves richer.
I was thinking of trying to do interviews, too, so I’m really stoked to see everything! Are you more interested in the meta behind how creators run their Offical account, or what their lore is, if any? Or moreso about the creators themselves? Alright, fine, I'll talk about my research. I was trying to be all mysterious about it but like. I can't really keep that up with the survey out now lmao.
My main topics are the meta, the people behind it, and the way people interact with each other through the lens of this community! The question that began my research is to what extent the officalverse is roleplay. I had a particular hypothesis but I'll let that be secret for now, I'll reveal it eventually :)
I find this community very interesting, and I'm excited to be finally starting my research properly! I've been wanting too for a while, but I was too nervous lol. I'm glad you find this idea cool too!
The final report will probably be a video essay, but I'll also post a transcript of the video. That'll be a bit further in the future. But once I've gone through all the data, I'll also post the results of the survey itself separately from the analysis, which won't be as long. It'll be at some point after I close the survey, which I'm planning to leave open for at least a week or two. And then it'll take a bit to put together graphs and everything. The video will probably take a few months to finish.

Who are your favorite lore-based Officals?
And, do you differentiate between RP and lore? It’s all RP, of course, but I mean the difference between someone like Villain-Offical who posts OOC and has a separate blog dedicated to RP, and someone like Amnesia-Offical who I cannot for the life of me get to admit that they’re RPing.
I genuinely love all lore, no matter the medium. I think different kinds of lore benefit from different levels on the scale from RP to ARG. Thoughts?
Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
Let's talk about reblog notes.
We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.
We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.
In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that, including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.
