what a classic tale, where muse a is a rough-guy type, who’s been on his own since he was a teenager, learning how to navigate the streets. he’s submerged himself into the dark, dank world of drugs and alcohol, and starts seeing everything in shades of dark, because what is light to someone so nocturnal. but he sees muse b, a pretty girl in a pretty dress being pushed around by some guys. he steps in and pretends he’s her boyfriend. the two spend the night roaming the city, learning each other, as she’s so thankful for his help, having feared the worst. suddenly, he can’t get her out of his head. they meet a few times, and she’s become color in a dark world, where as he’s protective shield against too many vibrant things. nothing feels right without her there, and nothing is okay without him there.

                  the male clenches his jaw, head canting to the side as his eyes lock on to her frame. there’s a small huff before he begins shaking his head. ❛ don’t be scared, rini, ❜ he begins, his gaze dropping to her hand on the doorknob. he grits his teeth. ❛ i’m not gonna hurt you. you trust me, don’t you ? ❜

       she’s quick to snatch her hand away from the door. her small feet taking steps away from the male, slowly distancing herself. “ -- i don’t know.” her voice was barely above a whisper and wasn’t all that clear. “i’m terrified, tyler. please --- cut it out!!!” rini snaps before shaking her head.

          ❛ —— please tell me you didn’t just wake her up. ❜

    “look -- i’m sorry, okay? i just wanted to show you what i taught her to do the other day!!”

          “uh, i fell asleep at the metro station today. take my advice and              don’t fall asleep at the metro station. not only do you miss your              train, but you also wake up next to some woman trying to hold                    your hand. and not a cute hand-hold either. just don’t.”

                 “dude, that’s terrible. i’m not sure if i should laugh at that                    or be concerned about that women trying to hold your                       hand. there’s some weird people out there. that’s                                        why rini does not do trains.”
