hello hello!! my name’s kristin and i’m super excited to bring miss caroline back out, slightly revamped since last time i wrote with her. she’s one of my longest standing muses (cir. 2018), and i always adore writing for her and hope you love her as much as i do! if you’d like to plot please give this a like and i’ll come give you all my love on discord <3 below is all of her info!

it was an easier night for caroline, none of her bartenders had called out for the night, so for once she was fully staffed, and she was able to observe and get some work done early. the blonde was sat towards the end of the bar, laptop open to some emails and documents as she worked to plan out her next months’ worth of theme nights for the bar. with an exasperated sigh, she rested her hand on her forehead, looking up for a minute and turning to the person closest to her. “okay, level with me for a second,” she began. “the last theme-- the one we did last saturday night-- was it actually as bad as i thought? our numbers felt way low for a saturday. we do great on dolly nights but this one seemed off. am i wrong? do the kids not like the classics anymore?”

“What’ll it be?” Kit wiped down glasses behind the bar, nearly shouting over the modern country classic blaring through the speakers. The Friday night crowd was usually at Open Hatch for the line dancing, and with it being the end of summer, tonight was particularly busy. “Whatever it is better get you out on that dance floor.” 

“nothin’ for me tonight, sweet pea, just checking in.” caroline grinned, waving her hand as if to brush the question away. though she only seldom worked behind the bar nowadays when an employee needed an emergency shift cover, caroline was still around the bar most nights, just to make sure everything was running smoothly. she was a hands-on type of owner in that way. “wanted to make sure y’all were set for the night. i know jim usually comes in on fridays and that man goes through my stock like no one i’ve ever seen.”

“Believe it or not, I’m not actually drunk tonight.” Kai paused, trying to keep a straight face. “Do you believe me?” they let out a laugh, leaning against the wall outside of their bar. Kai had always enjoyed the weekends. They were wearing a floral jacket open with no shirt underneath. “This is my sexy medieval look. What do you think?”

every once in a while, caroline liked being able to take the night off from being the big boss at her own bar to visit the others around town. she didn’t feel like she had to be “on” or anything (though it was a small town, so she wasn’t going to act up when she knew nearly everyone in town), and it gave her a nice chance to get to know the other bar owners. “i’m not sure i do, but if that helps you convince yourself then i’m all for it,” the blonde let out a laugh, looking over their outfit. “it’s a good look. i think this town’s missing a medieval night. bring some culture and history to southridge.”
