oh. “i – thought i must’ve mentioned,” if anything, daisy’s willingness to  ignore it made freya want to open up even more. she knows that that  wasn’t how daisy’s sentence was originally going to end, that there was something else she was going to say, and the fact she thought it over and decided to drop it makes freya want to be honest. “uhm – i was engaged. we never got married, if – if that’s what you’re wondering. we just,” she shrugs a shoulder. “never got there. we planned to move here after we got married, start fresh, but things just don’t work out sometimes, but i moved anyway. there’s no – it’s not this big dramatic thing or  anything. i suppose that’s what i get for thinking i was going to be with someone i met when i was nineteen forever. but, it’s fine.  i thought i might’ve mentioned  before, but – really, there’s no need to… it’s fine, it’s all good.”

that was daisy, wasn’t it? ready to move on passed any personal or emotional information. & though she knew not everyone was like her in that respect, sometimes she wished they were. it was selfish to not want to hear details of freya’s past relationships, but dammit she didn’t want to know about whoever this person was. just as she was sure freya didn’t want to hear about her past love -- right? daisy’s hand reflexively moves to touch freya’s shoulder, she squeezes softly, a smile resting on her lips. “i know the feelin’.” she responds in a whisper, “i’ve...” slowly she drops her hand from her shoulder & bites on her lower lip before saying, “i’ve never been engaged or married. we had plans - like you & yours. start anew, but things change. i was 17 though. too young to settle, not that i knew otherwise.” she turns away slightly, “i’m glad it didn’t work out.” she whispers, quickly adding, “for me. i’m glad we didn’t work out.” there was this strong desire - this force wanting her to move closer to freya; her legs were practically trembling with energy. she swallows thickly, fingers linked together, “do ya ever think you’d get that far again?” she turns to her, “love again or whathaveyou.”
