Biography
so iām pretty sure most people know about steeb considering heās a pretty well known character. iām gonna pretty much just do a brief overview of him and his history. some slight changes with 616 canon but nothing major.
born july 4th, 1918 to a poor irish immigrant family, he was a very sickly child. while his mother, sarah, was beyond loving and did everything to protect her son, his father joseph, was an alcoholic and tended to become abusive after drinking. most of the time his father was on the receiving end of the abuse as she protected him from it, and early on steve learned strength from his mother and that desire to protect. it wasnāt long before his father eventually died when he was still young, and then it was just him and his mother until her eventual death.
growing up, steve tended to be bullied and picked on by other kids for being sickly but that never stopped him from fighting back even if it ended up with him getting his ass kicked for it. eventually he met james barnes who became his best friend and was nicknamed bucky. the two were incredibly close and were inseparable until the second world war hit. steve kept trying to be enlisted while bucky was being sent off to fight.
eventually steve was drafted for project rebirth and was chosen to be the first recipient of the super solider serum. while many people want him to perform and rally people, steve wanted more and proved himself when he rescued the 107th from hydra.
the events of the first captain america unfold and at the end, steve is frozen in ice for many years until shield revives him around 2012. he goes on to join the avengers until the accords happen and everyone chooses sides. steve refuses to sign and when things fall apart and his team goes on the run, he begins to go by nomad and continues to act for whatās right. the events of the winter solider, of course, happened prior to all of that nonsense.
currently, steve still prefers to go by nomad but he knows most people will refer to him as captain america since itās what heās been known as for so long now. heās trying to do his utmost best to help the situation in gotham and do what he can to ensure the fellowship holds onto their own territories and gain more traction.
of course, he doesnāt remember anything right now. steve thinks he has been here for his entire life and works as a freelance artist.Ā
Abilities
Artificially Enhanced Physiology: The Super Soldier Serum enhanced all of Rogersā bodily functions, such as his strength, intelligence, speed, senses, durability, agility, stamina, reflexes, and healing. The Super-Soldier Serum also healed all of his ailments, physical and genetic imperfections instantly, giving him a perfect body better than that of a man in his physical prime. It also prevents him from getting intoxicated by alcohol, meaning he cannot get drunk. The Super Soldier Serum permanently transformed him from a frail young man into the āperfectā specimen of human development and conditioning.
Regenerative Healing Factor: The Super-Soldier Serum granted Steve Rogersā physiology an accelerated rate of healing and regeneration. Rogers is immune to earthly infections, diseases, and disorders; Rogers also cannot become intoxicated by alcohol, drugs, toxins, or impurities, thus he canāt get drunk like his friends.
Master Martial Artist: Rogers is a master hand-to-hand combat, having extensive levels of knowledge of melee combat as well as being considerably experienced in combat operations. He has mastered several martial arts such as muay Thai, boxing, Krav Maga, Taekwondo, savate, wushu, judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Shield Mastery: Rogersā years of training and experience with his unique shield, as well as its physical properties, allow him to accomplish amazing feats with the item.
