( william moseley. cis male. he/him. cowboy casanova & carrie underwood. ) have you seen HARRY BEAUFORT strolling around central park at lunchtime? rumor has it theyâre actually 202 years old, but iâm pretty sure theyâre only 32. theyâre currently posing as a SERVER at LUNAR DEFIANT, but when dusk falls, you can usually find them heading home to MANHATTAN of choice by UBER. apparently they DID NOT attend the met gala this season! ( deanna. 26. she/her. est. )
harry was born to leilana beaufort, a dhampir since birth. the eldest of two, harry was always most like his father. he loved his mom, but it was dad who he looked up to, a chip off the old block. it's from his father that he gets his charm and charisma, but he also inherited his air of superiority and short temper.
heâs lived in new york city most of his life, feeling like the king in a castle with his mom and familyâs status as a founding family. harry loved to use and abuse the power he had as a well-known name, taking what he wanted from people and using other vampires to hide his mistakes. heâs the type to act first, and think afterwards, but harryâs not an idiotâheâs really good at cleaning up his messes ( and if he doesnât do it, his sister is always there to do so ) .
in the early 1900s, harry became a part of a public vampire scandal when he killed a human in front of an oâriley hunter. the rules had been a lot more strict back then, and harry couldâve easily been killed for his crimes, but leilana and his father were able to get him off with a banishment. for fifty years he wasnât allowed in the city of new year, and harry was on his own.Â
it had been an adjustment for awhile, being on his own, not used to having to look after himself. but harry quickly made friends of all different species, and found that he enjoyed traveling. he saw europe, the rest of america, anywhere that his charm and vampire compulsion could take him. when the fifty years was over, harry didnât want to return to new york. he kept in touch with his family somewhat, but a resentment had started to form regarding them, even if it was irrationalâhe knew they had to stay in new york, but he felt like an outcast anyway. so he stayed out of new york for a few extra years, taking his time to return home.Â
despite his wariness to see his family again, harry fell back into routine with his parents and sister pretty easily, almost like he never left. there were a few people in new york who still didnât trust him for his past transgressions, but most had moved on. but a leopard doesnât change its spots, and if the time away from new york had taught harry anything, itâs how to be more subtle.Â
harry is basically a chaotic lil vampire who does what he wants and has fun, but heâs smart about it !  heâs not the same vampire he once was getting banished from new york. now he has a job at lunar defiant, enjoying doing something during his days, and at night he could be found all across manhattan at the hottest bars & clubs. he can be charming when he wants to be ( usually around his mother ) , and can be a lil asshole when he wants to be ( usually around humans ) .Â
currently not the happiest with mama leilana because of the divorce, feels like itâs a personal betrayal of the family.
here for a good time AND a long timeÂ
heâs been back in new york for about forty years fyi
more to come, this is trash i know
wanted connections :
vampire friends to be chaotic with
other supernatural friends he can be chaotic with
humans he can use & tormentÂ
oâriley family members that still have a grudge from running him out of town

the younger winces again, looking away, hands fidget over the glass. chace looks back to harry shrugging a shoulder. âi'm not the one staying away, harry.â he said as sire gets comfortable. away from him. he'd always admired the way he'd seemed to command the room.
chace was still oblivious to the other's real motive in their relationship but he was sure that things weren't supposed to be so twisted up. âdid i do something wrong?â he asks bravely, staying where he was and finishing his drink and reluctantly he has another thinking it would make things much easier.
âit's sad,â chace said quietly. ârosamie was a wonderful lady.â
â IS THAT IT ? â  harry asks.  â you think iâm avoiding you ?  because as far as iâm concerned, you should know where i live. iâm very hospitable, you know. and when you treat my visit like a prison sentence, you canât exactly blame me for not wanting to come around, â  he adds, before throwing back the rest of his drink.Â
chaceâs question makes him roll his eyes, he canât help it. this was another reason why he didnât like to have chace grace his presence for too long.  â what do you think youâve done ? â  he answers the question with a question, putting the glass down beside his feet. Â
â wonderful lady, â  harry scoff.  â rosamie was a thousand year old vampire, probably the oldest and crustiest in the entire city. she knew how to threw a good party, yes, but everyone dies eventually. even vampires. â  harry had no doubt heâd be living until he was at least a thousand as well, though he didnât mention it.
she had to give that to him, a witch wouldnât disclose that information. she chuckled. âi canât argue with that,â she admitted. âand even that grave would have wards to stop people from looking for it,â she added in amusement. leyla nodded her head. âdepends on the wolf. some would gloat, otherâs might be more demure about it,â she mused. leyla looked to him, bobbing her in confirmation. âleyla demir,â she told him. âand I know youâre one of the vampires, but I wouldnât know which one,â she admitted. âiâm rarely at council meetings. they donât need the youngest sister there most of the time,â she said. âwhich suits me,â she added with a grin.
â I DONâT THINK A VAMPIRE WILL EVER BECOME PRESIDENT, â  harry admits with a small laugh, just thinking about it.  â but hey, never say never. maybe youâll see me running in a good fifty years or so. do you think i could pass as thirty-five ? â  he asks, with a raised brow. her calling him  â one of those vampires â makes him chuckle again.  â iâm a beaufort, yes, â  he tells her,  â leilanaâs son, if you know her. sheâs the one on the council. iâve never been to one of their meetings. i figured they were pretty exclusive, but they also donât like me very much. i doubt either of us are missing much. â
âI BELIEVE SO! I mean, it has everything, itâs like⊠a full package of things,â she clarifies, not even sure if sheâs making sense to him. âI do, yes! Some people would rather get private lessons than be in a big class with other people. They say they can benefit better that way. Is that what you prefer?â
HIS EYES FLICKER TO HER NECK FOR A BRIEF MOMENT, before glancing back up at her eyes.  â iâd prefer that yes, â  he tells her, with a small smile.   â that way youâre the only one iâll embarrass myself in front of. and iâll need all the attention as i can get. â  harry loves his attention.Â
She smiled as she heard his remark, unable to hide her amusement as her gaze lifted to meet his eyes. âIâm glad youâre admitting it.â Lennon let out a laugh, slowly letting her expression mirror his. âIs this where I begin to question if you have a fake ID? I canât picture you being older than twenty-nine.â She let out a laugh as she looked at him, shaking her head as she thought over her last guess. âTwenty-seven?â
â NOPE, â  he shakes his head, chuckling at her final guess.  â but you put up a good fight, iâll give you that. let me buy you a drink anyway, for playing the game. â  harry motions to get the bartenderâs attention, nodding to the blonde to order whatever sheâd like.  â iâm paying for the lady. â

âOkay and what would I do to get banished from the city? I mean Iâve done damn near everything, but because I donât go around murdering people, the council doesnât care.â Cedric quipped back easily to the other before humming at the idea of telling mortals his actual age besides the select few allowed to know. âThey mostly donât really get that Iâm still young because for the thatâs like an impossible number.â They couldnât help but gasp at the otherâs equivocation of staten island and new jersey. âHow dare you say staten island is like jersey dude, no fucking way. Plus, wasnât like we really had a choice. I may have settled there by choice but I had to sell my place in the city and shit when all the bullshit blew up.â
HARRY JUST ROLLS HIS EYES, because they both know he had been banished for murdering someone, and it seems a bit rude to point it out. not that he cared about murdering people, but as if he should feel bad for it. he didnât, not really.  â can you age, or will you stay like that forever ? â  harry asks, knowing very little about dragon lore.  â youâre rightâat least jersey has the fucking PATH train, â  he makes a face. he really, really hated the staten island ferry.  â if you wanted to move, i wouldnât tell anyone. i wouldnât blame you. â
âYOUâRE A CONFIDENT ONE, HUH?â Sheâll enjoy proving him wrong every step of the way, just for the fun of it. âAre we talking real age orâŠ?â she trails off, tilting her head slightly to the side. This will change her guess.
â EXTREMELY, â  harry deadpans. why pretend otherwise. her question makes him blink as if he doesnât understand it, despite knowing full well what sheâs talking about.  â i only have one age, â  he tells her with a small smile, and itâs not a lie. since he stopped aging whenever he felt like it, who even knows how old heâs supposed to look.
âOh, this movie canât be that bad. A little birdie told me thatâs just how it is with drive-ins. They always squeeze in a âdouble featureâ.â In truth, Nellie had little idea what a double feature was. It was⊠two movies, right? âMaybe the last one was better? Or do they save the good one for after?â
â THEYâRE NOT IN ANY SPECIFIC ORDER, â  he tells her, tossing some popcorn into his mouth.  â you can tell double features were before the human attention span had gotten so low. iâm surprised they still offer two movies even. whatâs the second movie again ? â
Picking up her drink again she takes one last sip before abandoning it on the bar beside them. She hops off the bar stool, excited to see how far she could push this. She wouldnât take advantage of them though, theyâd only just met each other. No, she was kidding herself. Of course she was going to push this as far as heâd let it go. Her answer to his questions was to simply grin as she pulled her phone out and started to order an Uber.  âYouâll seeâ she said in a sweet sing song voice. âYou ready to go?â
IN THAT MOMENT, harry would carry the blonde anywhere. rising to his feet, he throws some money at the bartender before coming out from behind the bar.  â following you, anna, â  he smirks, though his eyes sparkled with mischief, having high hopes for their evening.
âoh, i like to call this just my typical work week.â saying as she motions to bottles around her. to say that she had a drinking problem was a tad bit modest, but when it came to sybil she craved anything that was able to give a rush. so, itâs safe to say when her eyes lock with the small little baggie, her eyes began to gloss over with need.Â
she had dabbled with the powder a handful of times throughout her life, mostly making it for various supernaturals who asked. as a witch, her tolerance when it came to just regular cocaine was enough to satiate herself. when it came to the witches powder though, it was a whole different type of high. âyou know the way to my heart.â she replies, head tilting. âletâs get to it then, shall we?âÂ
â
â THATâS MY KINDA WEEK, â  he smirks, and harryâs already clearing part of her desk from bottles and paperwork to make a playground for their evening endeavors. heâs precise in the way he sets the white powder up into lines, having this does many, many times before. grabbing a dollar from his pocket, he lines up one for each of them, then rolls it before snorting it up his nose. itâs done quickly, standing up immediately to sniff, before passing her the dollar bill.
â just donât overdo it tonight, â  harry teases, flashing her a wry smile.  â i donât want to be taking care of your ass tonight. â  flopping onto the couch, he brings his arms up to rest behind his neck as he watches her with darkened eyes.Â

â WHO SAID I WAS GONNA DO ANYTHING ? â  eyebrows raise lightly, putting on an air of surprise.  â iâd imagine you warned her about the big bad harry beaufort, no ? â  he teases, not taking any part of this conversation seriously.  â tell me, was it your idea for her to pretend sheâs not an oâriley ?  i canât believe some people fall for it. â
she looks down, closing her eyes and lets out a sigh. âif you really would like to know, your mother turned off her humanity for a short while, but i soon realized itâs not for me.â speaking faster than she usually does, not wanting to get into anymore detail with harry, but she knew he would get more out of her regardless. the soft spot she had for her son had grown over the years, regardless of how he felt about her sometimes. a mothers love was unconditional.Â
âso, that is the issue i was dealing with.â speaking bluntly as she takes a second serving of food and placing it gently on the fine china. taking a bite of her food, she nods slightly in agreement with him; which is surprising. leilana was fiercely loyal to the council & will continue to be loyal, but it was somewhat disappointing that there were no leads. it was a huge cause for concern, it made her want to lock her children up in the family home. it scared her that this wasnât the last murder in the city.Â
âi agree⊠somewhat.â muttering as she looks at him across the table. âyou really think people will rebel?â the thought of another supernatural war caused a chill to go down her spine. âwould you rebel?â asking after a short pause.Â
â
â YOU WHAT ? â  harry doesnât bother hiding his shock, eyebrows raising as he stares at leilana incredulously.  â why the hell did you do that ? â  he knows his mother, always the sweet and emotional, even through her divorce with his father. whatever the reason for turning off her emotions... it had to be a hell of a good one.  â how do you just realize itâs not for you ? â  the vampire snorts, because heâs never heard a vampire explain it like that. heâs turned his humanity off beforeâmost of the time he was out of new york city, away from the exhausting rules of the council, and his own parentsâbut turning it on and off was a lot like flicking a light switch of a dull bulb :  whether the light was on or off, not much really changed.Â
finishing the rest of the blood in his glass, he nods at her motherâs question.  â if people donât think the council can seek justice for the death of one of their own, why should people bother to listen to them ? â  he asks rhetorically. harry knows his motherâs on that council, but he doesnât consider her one of them, except for when the topic of his banishment is brought up. harry shrugs.  â possibly, â  he tells her, not bothering to lie.  â perhaps if you werenât a part of it. â
Harryâs boyish threat isnât sincere; Doon-ju knows that much after years of working together. But frankly, he wouldnât mind if it was. After all, heâs banned people for pettier reasons. Or killed them, especially during the infancy of his dimmed humanity.
He pauses for a second, considering.
âGet him to leave without leaving a bad review and Iâll put your name on the wall,â he says, jutting a chin towards a dusty frame hung above a plastic âemployee of the monthâ sign. It was from a suggestion that an employee from years ago put forth, but he had no motivation to bring it into fruition despite never taking it down. But for now, itâs the best incentive Harryâs going to get.
THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THAT OFFER.  â can he even post a review on yelp ? â  harry blinks, looking back at his boss. maybe if he posted one while in the restaurant itâd be safe, but would he be able to remember long enough afterwards ?  youâd think heâd understand the spell better, considering how long heâs worked here, but itâs aspect of the business harry tries to ignore. mostly because he finds the whole thing fucking ridiculous, and itâll only work him up if he gets into why doon-ju should tell the council to shove it up their ass.
â and quit offering me employee of the month. you and i both know it doesnât mean shit. â  despite the vaguely harsh words, the tone isnât aggressive. mostly harry can see through his bossâ bullshit by now.  â how about you give me that raise weâve been talking about, and iâll explain to him once more what tteokbokki is. â
âNo? what would you call it?â She asked with a smile, shaking her head at his words. She began to study his face more intently, looking for any signs of visible age that would give her a clue. âSo I was way off then?â A smiled graced her lips as a hand moved to rest under her chin. âThirty-Seven?â
HARRY PRETENDS TO THINK ABOUT IT FOR A MOMENT.  â alright, maybe it is confidence, â  he finally decides, smirking shamelessly. it doesnât last long, her guess enough to wipe it off. thirty-seven ?  that was just offensive.  â no, â  harry scoffs a little, shaking his head.  â one more guess, beautiful. â
leyla arched a brow in intrigue, but her expression read like she wasnât convinced. âdo you really think so?â she asked him. âi feel weâd know. the community. especially those within a founding family⊠surely,â she mused. she looked to him for his opinion. âthere has been no real footing in supernatural president conspiracy theories, even amongst humans,â she added. the brunetteâs features scrunched up for a moment in response to being so close. âoh damn,â she uttered before chuckling. âbeing that close is just unfair,â she told him. and yet, she was somewhat victorious because a drink is hers. ârum and cola, thanks,â she replied.
â DO YOU REALLY THINK THE WITCHES WOULD TELL US if one of them was in office ? â  he exhales out a laugh, shaking his head.  â theyâd take that shit to their grave, i think. maybe you... wolves, right ?  are another story. â  the face she makes only makes his smile widen, ordering a rum and cola for the both of them.  â you look familiar, â  harry says, when his attention is back on her.  â youâre not a demir, are you ? â

he stops short of harry, thinking about what he was going to say carefully. his sire had a way of making him feel stupid for simply speaking. or maybe that was his own need to be better in his presence. someday, chace would be the thing he needed, if he could only work at it.
still, habitually, chace winces in taking the glass, âi know how to get blood, but, it's not the same as yours.â and damn him for it, he thinks, taking a sip of the whiskey, which he wasn't in the mood for, but the vampire drinks it down anyway. certain he'd get on his knees and beg to be fulfilled, he pours one more.
he stops to think, mind racing over the past few weeks, âgood . everything's been good, well, not everything, but for me, i'm good.â
â AND HOW IS THAT MY FAULT ? â  he chuckles, taking a swig of the whiskey. most of the time, harry was surrounded by vampires older than him :  his parents, his aunt and uncles, his boss. it was always nice visiting chace, to get that thrill of being the eldest and one in charge, even if it was only a small part of his life he can control.Â
â thatâs good, â  he nods, flopping down on the nearest couch, careful not to spill his whiskey.  â were you at that new yearâs eve party where rosamie died ?  itâs all ANYONEâS been talking about. â  eyes roll a bit dramatically.
âWHO NEEDS RULES?â The witch countered, eyebrow quirking in response. âI happen to be of the opinion of doing whatever the hell I want. Life is more enjoyable that way, wouldnât you agree?â The question posed wasnât that deep, and Sian didnât really expect much of a response. After all, this banter back and forth was only stalling the inevitable. As the bartender approached, she pondered quickly before deciding to be spontaneous â a rare occurrence. âHmm, surprise me.â
â I AGREE ENTIRELY, â  he tells her, and he means it. whatever the hell i want has more or less been harryâs motto in his two hundred years of life, and itâs always refreshing to meet someone who feels the same. harry hums as he considers what to order her, knowing this is some sort of a test.  â alright. â  grabbing a napkin and a nearby pen, he scribbles down an order on it, making sure that the stranger beside him canât see what heâs writing. then he passes it to the bartender, giving him a wink.  â make sure she doesnât see what youâre making, â  he nods in her direction, before the man behind the bar scampers off to do as heâs ordered.  â since you seem to like surprises, â  he says, head rolling back in her direction.
