“pity party is not a good look on you, scott.”    she’ll roll her eyes, a small smirk gracing the edges of her lips as glances across. each word he says makes uhura want to smile a little more, but with the stubbornness of a child she refuses to allow herself to do such a thing. not until she received a scotty-made-coffee, anyway.      “apology accepted.”         but the pissed off attitude will not stop there. a hand reaches across the exit of the lift, refuses to let him pass. oh, this could all be so easily rectified, montgomery.      “one exception. you make me a coffee.”       she’ll lean across, lips ghosting over the shell of his ear.     “now.”     and with that, she’ll exit the lift. 

what it that much to ask for? no, but she was also acting that a child. she just craved a caffeine fix; she took it for granted when her feet were planted on earth.      “hm.”        not giving him a glance she’ll raise her brows at his excuse before hesitantly parting her lips, unable to resist getting a word in.       “but you had time to make yourself one.”        that’s what annoyed her more than anything. oh, and he best be sure she’s not making him a coffee for a long time. not until he’s redeemed himself, anyway. the doors open and she’ll turn to face him, stern expression on her face yet it was not in any way sincere.       “you’re in my way, mr scott.”

            “looking as spritely as ever.”      she’ll greet him with a smirk as she waits for the door to activate so they can both pass. it had become a habit of uhura’s to try and get a reaction from jim - it was so easy to do, and she enjoyed it ever so much.       “any reason you’re particularly chirpy today?”    confident steps were taken onto the bridge, a sarcasm smile been thrown to him.   “after you.”

                you’ll find her face down in a book, something to do with exolinguistics most likely. either way, uhura was not reading it. she was, however, using it to hide her sleeping state. it wasn’t until the sound of footsteps awoke up, dark tresses flying over her shoulder as she sat up in a flurry.      “ i didn’t see you there. sorry. “     good try, uhura.     “ did you say something? “     her head cants to the side, a professional facade taking front and centre, feeling her cheeks slowly flush pink from embarrassment. 

                   she is totally not pissed at him. definitely not.     “ i don’t want to talk to you right now. “      okay, so the lieutenant might be. and it may or not be because she’s being petty and that he didn’t make her a coffee this morning. not that it would last for long; who knew such a strong willed, independent woman such as nyota uhura would have such a weakness for montgomery scott. nevertheless she’ll stare of the other, trying her utmost not to cave and flash a smile.
