Folks, friends, y’all…. esk*mo is a slur. I understand a lot of people don’t know that, I don’t want to be a dick about it, but I’ve been seeing it in fics. Wanna write “esk*mo kisses”? Just say “nuzzled noses” or something.

Astarion developing hobbies and feeling safe enough to talk about them with true excitement is my JAM
you know what I'd like to see? I would like to see Astarion figuring out things he likes, things that he does on his own and that he can talk to Tav about it at the end of the night. This would go both for if he would like to keep adventuring with Tav or settling down yk? it doesnt matter. The only thing that does matter is for him to be able to get used to his new life and all the new liberty he now has.
Maybe he likes to collect pretty glasses and goblets because he enjoys being able to choose depending on what he is drinking maybe he starts making jewelery because he enjoys the idea of being able to make something that fits perfectly for him.
Just imagine Astarion and Tav cuddling in a bed and he seems a little hesitant but then he starts saying "my love, today I did something and perhaps if you'd like to hear..." he hesitates a bit but Tav is already looking at him with big round eyes that have the stars shining in them "Yes! of course I'd love to know!" they move their body so they are now face to face. He smiles softly and starts talking with so much care and passion, he whispers in Tavs ear about how the different things he has tried out and how much fun he is having. it looks like the years are lifted off him, he looks so much more brighter than the sun in those moments.
astarion can still give tav eternal life as a spawn.
he can play your song at a tavern, cook your favorite meal for his new lover, tell your cheesy jokes. new companions ask who you were and astarion will give a taste of your adventures, just enough to satisfy them while keeping some memories only to himself. those memories aren't a ballad of heroes saving the city, they're precious, priceless moments he spent learning how to live again. how to do all of this without you
