Odd Utterances

I feel kind of bad for future historians. They’ll have to slog through a massive amount of contradictory information and try to paint an accurate representation.

I think a lot of “small acts of kindness” aren’t that selfless. For me they’re usually just an excuse to leave the group for a sec, to catch a breath. What even is a selfless act? Sometimes it’s not for anyone else, but it's also not selfish, it’s just habit.

Do you ever just randomly break out into weird facial expressions, (weird, like mentally unstable weird) cuz you just can’t even. I can’t even identify what I can’t even, but I can’t even.

I’m increasingly worried about a trending tendency of mine to type too fast and say "i", when I meant to capitalize.

What people need to understand about me is that I don’t stay up till 2 am for light and transient reasons. If I’ve got nothing to do, I sleep. But if I’m intensely interested in something, I finish rather than risk putting it off and losing the inspiration. Sometimes I simply lose track of time doing uninteresting stuff, but that’s not a conscious decision. When I realize the time, and still go back to writing, it’s a decision that I consider my engagement more important than sleep, and more important than waking up early. There are times when I put off something interesting, because I value getting up for something the next day.

Ugg,so I partially let go of my passionate belief in the tiger version of Life of Pi. I still hold the principle (choose the better story) but if you apply Occam’s razor, then you must choose the cannibal story. (Basing your knowledge off the movie.) Actually, in the book, there were meerkat bones in the boat, which were only explained in the tiger story, thus making it the explanation that explained the most. So I’m okay with that. But now I’m really disappointed (well, more so) in the movie.

Selena Gomez’s song keeps running through my head. Now all I can imagine is Romney singing “who says you’re not presidential?” then screaming “THE AMERICAN VOTERS!”

When I drop that one, ugly baby carrot (or the gross end of the banana) down the disposal, I imagine it as an offering to the kitchen gods. May they smile down upon my meager offering and fix the trash compactor!

Headcanon is real. The story doesn’t exist for the creators, it exists for the consumer. So whatever reality you create for your own version of the story- however you interpret it, is real and important to you. Now, if canon disproves your head canon, there are very good reasons to adopt canon (consistency with the new episodes, it’s better than the head canon, consistency with the rest of the fandom, etc.) but the story exists for you- you do not have to accept new canon, you can create a whole world out of a simple story if you like.
