Hey! New Minecraft OC ref. I’m one of the other admins of the blog, here's the ref of the character I play. He lost all his limbs back when he was more of an adventuring type, now hes more of a journal and books kind of guy. I also love chickens, therefore, so does he.
The End was a deep and dark world. It was deafening silent and soul-crushingly empty. Most endermen were perfectly happy here with nothing but their fruit and the occasional shulker or roar from the dragon. However many young Endermen wanted to explore the other worlds. They wanted adventure and new or interesting things. It wasn’t enough to explore the vast islands or stare at the static skies. Their homes were no longer accessible and rumors of fiery fortresses and creatures that built like they did flew through groups like wildfire.
One such Enderman was a very young child. He was a baby, who still had his pastel, unpigmented eyes. He was a few inches shorter than the others but not enough for a casual glance to show. He lived in a haunting with three others who were constantly talking about these worlds but never including him in the conversations. They ignored and excluded him because he was so young. He “couldn’t even teleport yet”. If they were so keen on being jerks to him he’d prove it to them! He’d go to the overworld himself. The day he slipped out none of the other three even noticed his absence. He didn’t expect they would.
“There is no promise of a return young one;” The Elder warned, “If you die, your soul will return here but you can never enter the overworld again. There are many dangers that await you in the world above.” The baby nodded. He wanted to leave. He hated his Haunting and wanted something better. A chance at something happier. The oldest of his haunting really hated him for some reason and he didn’t understand it. Was he supposed to know every skill already? Was he developing too slowly?
“Remember that Souls can be overwhelming to you but the blue face is safe. Look for the blue face.” The Elder reminded him. He nodded and clapped his hands together a bit. He was so sure this world was for him. He was going to be happy and safe there. With a heavy heart and a saddened sigh, the elder opened a portal for him, sending him on his way to the overworld, fully sure that this was the last time he’d see this young man happy. If he never came back, that was great. If he did, he'd be in pain.
The overworld was bright and beautiful. It was filled with the sounds of animals in a pen; the wind rustling through the trees; even the distant humming and mumbling of villagers working away in their booths. For hours the young Enderman wandered around the land looking at the buildings and statues of the town he seemed to have found. He explored everywhere he could get to, and glowerd at doorways that, like his own world, were far too small. He could probably crawl through them and look around later.
When the light began to vanish in the sky the young Enderman began to panic. Where was the beautiful light going? Why was it leaving him? Did he anger it? Did he do something wrong?! He looked around frantically for the source and saw the large light in the sky dipping under the horizon. What was that? Why was it leaving?
Suddenly a searing pain shot through him as an arrow grazed his arm. He turned and yelped seeing a skeleton shooting at him. Zombies coming from all sides. He panicked and ran as far as he could. He felt a splash as he stepped in some sort of liquid. His legs burned and he cried out scrambling back. What was that? Why did it hurt!? No! He hated this! He wanted to go home!
HISS!
He screamed as an explosion shot him towards the burning liquid. He braced for pain but instead of the liquid he landed on some kind of stone. He groaned and looked around. He was safe but he could hear the Zombies coming after him. He scrambled up and ran as fast as he could into the nearest forest. Trees were safe right?
Suddenly he tumbled down a set of stairs into a dark cave with a fire in the middle. He yelped running into the fire but there was a corner. He could be safe. He curled up and covered his head; trembling and sobbing. He wanted to get away. He wanted to go home. He was so scared.
Just as he was trying to calm down and gather his senses, he heard more footsteps. No more! Please! He looked up quickly, hearing a gasp and some kind of words before his eyes made contact with the creatures. At first he was enveloped in warm love that felt like a gentle embrace and was comfortable. He was okay with this. There was depression and pain and fear, but that was overshadowed by the kind soul.
However he went deeper. Deep in their soul there was something huge. Overwhelming. The universe itself. So many voices, so much pain. It was loud. It was huge. He screamed and the creature looked away setting him free. In his fear he launched at the creature. Punches flew and he didn’t even realize it wasn’t fighting back. It was only after he calmed down and focused he realized what the words were.
“It’s okay. I’m sorry. You can kill me.”
He stepped back and looked down at the body. It had let him do it? He stepped back into his corner, even more confused now. The body slowly faded away and he sat down covering his head again. Tears streamed down his face. He was a murderer! How could he? He didn’t mean to.
Suddenly he heard footsteps again. Familiar ones. He looked up again and saw the blue face. It wore the same clothes as the creature he killed. Was it the same creature? No it couldn’t be. He’d killed it.
It was talking to him. He stared at it trying to understand. He could only catch some of it. Something that sounded like “ozzy” was repeated over and over. A name? Was it giving him a name? He smiled a little. Hauntings didn’t even give each other names. Names meant connections. This creature was trying to connect to him, not hurt him. He hugged his knees close as he watched the creature trying to talk. It seemed to apologize for scaring him. Slowly it seemed to realize he didn’t understand it. Slowly it extended it’s hand to him and gave off an energy of warmth and love and acceptance. He was scared of this creature as well as everything else but if it wanted to hurt him it would have. It would even have a reason to if it was the one he killed. He was curious about how it was back like this. After a moment, he finally reached out and took the creatures hand.
It led him to a soft patch of land nearby, and he stared at it confused. It lay down and patted next to it. Oh it wanted him to lay down. He trembled but nodded and lay down. The creature got up and brought a cloth over and placed it on him. It gave him a plush creature and sat beside him with a book. It was talking. Reading? It’s voice was soft and soothing. Soon enough it lulled him to calm and he fell asleep.
Maybe this would be okay after all. He could live here.

We would like you to meet our ender friends! (or Friendermen if you will) these three are from a haunting (group of enderman) of 4 and they all live with us Oculus Shores. This is only one of the ways to draw them of course, since we have multiple artists running this blog. But here's my take on them!~
