He choked out, but immediately winced after. Tears burned on his face, and he felt more on the corners of his eyes.
Pearl's ears perked up hearing his voice. She was lucky the halls seemed to echo with every small movement that was made, she was able to discern where he was. She was sure of it.
"Amphinomus!" She called again as she began rushing through the halls. She didn't care how much her feet hurt stepping over debris and marble, or how disgusted she felt stepping over or on bodies, blood and other intestines she didn't want to name nor think about. Nor did she want to think about how much her feet hurt with each step or the exhaustion slowly creeping in. All she thought about was him.
"Amphinomus, please hang in there for me!" She called. She'd thank the gods every time her voice echoed off the walls. "I-I'll find you, I promise!"

He tried moving, but immediately fell and fell onto another personโs body. He tried getting up, but he couldnโt. He just laid there. Waiting.
Obviously he was tired. But he didnโt want to make it seem like he died. So he just fought the exhaustion off and shifted off. The blood and organs making him cringe, he crawled over to a wall again. Maybe he shouldnโt have tried running..
His breaths came in gasps. His eyes landing on a decapitated body, and he crawled back. Hitting his head on a stool. Where a vase stood.

He luckily caught it. But he was breathing heavily.
Pearl used every single sound and shift as her guide through the wreck and blood bath of a palace. Every body she counted in her head, though that didn't do anything for her mood. It just made her more anxious. She just kept talking, trying to keep a conversation until she foundโ

She didn't care how much her feet hurt stepping over debris and marble, or how disgusted she felt stepping over or on bodies, blood and other intestines she didn't want to name nor think about. Nor did she want to think about how much her feet hurt with each step or the exhaustion slowly creeping in. All she thought about was him.
"Amphinomus, please hang in there for me!" She called. She'd thank the gods every time her voice echoed off the walls. "I-I'll find you, I promise!"
