Tony Mitchell

We talked about school a bit. And I’m thinking maybe these two were reALLY close in middle school and it wasn’t until high school that they started drifting apart? And then dating Rachel happened and they absolutely stopped being friends? Hmm. Did we say Rachel and Tony dated right after Alan and Rachel (so Seth/Tony/Rachel’s sophomore year?) and then dated until Tony started dating Bridget? In which case maybe Tony and Seth were ~kind of friends during their freshman year?

And now I think the dating Rachel wound has healed so Seth would probably actually ask Tony questions about her, hahaha. Especially since Tony would know her prETTY well if he dated her for about three or so years. In which case Seth’s questions probably have a lot to do with “but do you think I could ever have a chance with her??” Also thinking that the party Kate and I were talking about where Rachel finally starts to notice Seth would have been after Tony and Rachel broke up?? (Which was maybe why she was drinking so heavily?) But didn’t you say Tony and Bridget only dated for the summer?

In which case, since they weren’t friends for so long I think a lot of Seth’s reasoning behind trying to get Tony out of the house and back to himself is making up for lost time. Because while Tony was a jerk to him in high school, I think Seth also feels guilty for his reaction to Tony and Rachel dating. And I think he feels bad that he wasn’t around while Tony was dating Bridget and only showed up afterwards. I think he feels like he should’ve been around and maybe he could’ve done more?? So he tries to help Tony heal while he’s actually kind of healing himself.

But, Cassie did fight for Rachel a lot and wanted Rachel to have a chance at the life she wanted, not the life their parents had picked out for them. So I think she did believe that Rachel needed her chance with Tony. Though if Cassie actually knew Tony (which I’m actually think she might have known him by reputation and not really as a person. I’m betting Rachel really didn’t bring him around the house a lot???). So in that case, Cassie would’ve been like “i want you to be happy” to Rachel and if that meant Tony then so be it. But also wouldn’t really understand why Tony made Rachel happy. If that makes sense?? I can also see Cassie being the Home Depot guy who is like “I support you??” and Tony being like “why??” Because that needs to have happened at some point, hahaha.

Anyway, yES TO EVERYTHING ELSE. Though I think Cassie would still try to work with him even if he did end up high in the supply closet. (Cassie just has a thing for lost causes. I don’t even know.)

…. I just had an idea. A REALLY TERRIBLE IDEA THAT’S GOING TO HURT A LOT BUT WHAT DOESN’T IN THIS ROLEPLAY?!?! Okay so what if Tony does come in for a job and Cassie ends up, like, seeing him as Owen 2.0. And starts trying to help him in the same way she helped Owen. But then it ends badly and that’s the wake-up call she needs to send her back toward Owen and realize what she’s done to him and to herself?????? bECAUSE I COULD TOTALLY SEE THAT WORKING. And then she’d probably show up at Owen’s house in the rain (I don’t know why it’s raining but it is) and be like “i aM SO SORRY. DATING COWORKERS WASN’T THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS THAT I WAS IN LOVE WITH YOU AND IT SCARED ME.” And probably stands there sadly, water dripping out of her hair but, like, she doesn’t even notice.

Okay, yeah, that makes sense! And yeah, she probably did know him by ~reputation~ if nothing else. But I do think that Tony would have been ~charming/nice~ around Cassie b/c yeah he did care about Rachel in a weird way. i mean, it’s more of a “she’s hot/popular and so am i we are perfect for each other” superficial kinda of way (altho I think it grew to be a bit more than that by the end but it was never at all like what he had with Bridget. IDK if that makes sense but yeah) 

TONY AS OWEN 2.0 NOOOOOOOOO (but also yes!!) And Cassie giving Tony a chance is everything to me!!! (and secretly Tony tbh even though he def screws it up ... probably more than once if we are being honest) 

Anyway, Steve left for about two years or so and he’s only been back for a couple of months (…. I think. wOW I NEED TO WORK ON TIMELINES) and I don’t think these two really seem like the type who would’ve kept in touch while Steve was gone. (Do you get that vibe from them too??) So maybe they haven’t seen each other since Steve has been back?? I could see that reunion being fun though.

And yeah!! I see Steve having run with the, like, ~bad kids though. Not really being a jock. But I could seriously see him having been in Tony’s crowd?? So maybe that was a thing? But yes. Totally think they should’ve met in high school have have been friends since.

Yeah, I agree. Tony isn’t really a ~social~ guy anymore and I don’t think that he does the whole social media thing + the only way he’d ever contact Steve at all is through text but I don’t think he really does anything anymore where he’s like “omg steve needs to know about this thing that happened!!” and yeah, his life is pretty uneventful anymore so THE SHORT ANSWER IS YES -- i don’t think they’ve talked much, if at all, since Steve left. 

Oooh, yeah that works!! Also, I feel like Tony was kinda the ~leader~ of the popular kids and w/ Steve as his bff, I feel like Steve was kinda his #2??? 

Hmm. Maybe she actually ends up telling him? I could see them having a fight or something and Tony being like “why do you care what happens to me?!?!” and Sasha is like “because I’m in love with you!!!!” and then her eyes widen and she claps her hand over her mouth because she can’t believe she just said that??? Maybe he really doesn’t understand why she tries so hard to be friends with him and to spend time with him? Because I feel like she does. She probably calls him up and tells him they’re going to go do something. Or she visits him with coffee and a book she thinks he should read. And probably tries to keep tabs on him to make sure he’s okay.

Anyway, oh! I love that! I definitely could see them having been friends when they were both younger. And maybe they just grew apart in high school since they started running in different crowds?? I don’t feel like Sasha was ~bullied in high school, per say. I think she was maybe just considered really weird and people would sometimes whisper about her but no one ever really said anything to her face?? But she did have friends so she probably managed to skate under the radar a lot. But I could definitely see them being friends again after Tony started dating Bridget and then Sasha being around when Bridget died and being there to ~comfort him as best she could.

I think the why is actually a very important question when he asks her b/c he really does want to know what she sees in him/why she thinks he’s worth saving and just alkjfaljflasdjflasjdflkjLAJLSDKFJAL ALKDJFALJljalskjf 

That being said, I def don’t think that he’s in love with her which is also SO SAD. Like he’s carrying this torch for Bridget and I don’t think he’s looked at another girl since he’s been with her, let alone since when she died and I think Bridget def would have wanted him to move on, but I don’t think he knows how. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how Tony handles things after he finds out, b/c while he doesn’t return her feelings (at least at that moment) he definitely doesn’t want to lose her/make their friendship awkward b/c he really needs someone like Sasha who really CARES and ugh 

Okay, soooo. I think Seth didn’t really know how to act around Tony at first because what do you say/do when something like that happens?? But I think eventually Seth decided that just getting Tony’s mind off things was the best therapy and so that’s probably been Seth’s approach ever since. He totes is always trying to get Tony to go places with him and do fun things.

Since these two are the same age, I’m thinking maybe they’ve been friends since the Connors first came to VA Beach?? So these two have known each other for, like, ever?? And now that Seth has moved out and doesn’t really know what to do with himself, maybe he spends even more time with Tony now?

And that sounds perfect! They are the same age so they could have gone to school together?? 

Anywaaaay, so Steve’s dad died. And I’m thinking maybe that had a lot of influence on their relationship. Because now they both know what it feels like to lose someone they were close to. While I don’t think Steve is quite as bad off as Tony, I do think he understands more now than he did. Though I think he was quite understanding to begin with.

But I definitely agree with everything you said. I feel like these two have been friends forever. Maybe they were friends before cliques were a thing?? And then when they reached high school, still kept up their friendship even though Tony was popular and Steve wasn’t?? (Or, well, I think Steve was mostly just lazy in high school?? Like he could’ve been anyone or done anything, he just didn’t apply himself??? And now he’s a little lost because he doesn’t really know what to do with himself or his life? Which is probably how Tony has been feeling since losing his girlfriend so maybe these two are actually more on the same page now than they’ve ever been before??)

I do also feel like these two are friends though. They’re the same age so maybe they knew each other in high school. But wait. Before I go on, when did Tony start dating his girlfriend and how long were they together before they died?? Because Sasha and Tony might not have been friends during that time? Or maybe not close??

But I could actually see them being friends now and Sasha would hurt so much for him. Because when other people are in pain, Sasha is in pain for them and basically she’d be like YOU JUST NEED A BLANKET AND A HUG AND HELP BEING NOT SO TORTURED. And would probably not really know how to help him but really want to help him??

But, either way, Tony was kinda a douche in high school tbh??? Altho I do think he would have been nicer around Cassie b/c he really did like Rachel so there’s that. 

Anyway, if she did offer him a job, he probably wouldn’t take it. He’s kinda lost his purpose in life and idk he’s a mess. Or if he did take it, he’d only last a couple of days (weeks at most). Altho maybe for plotting purposes, he does come in to get a job?? (But i do actually think that he would come in and apply himself bc if Cassie just offered it to him, I think he’d see it as charity).
