I like to think the choir (yes, collectively, all of them), in one way or another, adopted a rat, and named him Virgil (in any "they all survive" Au, obvs).
He lives at Noel's house. They literally BEGGED his mom to let them keep him there, and she agreed cus, like, if it keeps her son and his friends(/two partners) happy, who is she to judge that they have all decided to adopt this random rat??
There's two different ways I do this, the less interesting one, where they're all just in a pet store, and see a little black rat, and then all six collectively go "I need that thing," and then they name him Virgil and love him, and he's treated like a little king.
The more interesting one, Virgil also revived from his death (somehow, don't question it). How does the choir know it's him? Because one day during practice, Ocean noticed that one of their music boards wasn't working, so she went to check if it was unplugged and saw this stupid little black rat with beady red eyes chewing on the wire. Of course, like any normal person, instead of shooing the rat away, she just kinda picked him up, with less than no resistance on Virgil's part, and then stared at him for a few seconds (neurons firing, "is this actually Virgil chewing on our wires, or is the brain damage just getting to me?" he has little electricity scars tho so she comes to the conclusion that it has to be him), before running back to everyone else. And I make no exaggeration when I tell you that EVERYONE in the choir saw that stupid little rat in her hands and went "OMG IT'S VIRGIL!! :0" and then they were all running up to Father Marcus with this little rat still in Ocean's hands, and she held Virgil up to him like he was the most precious little being ever.
They may or may not have all either been on the verge of crying or shaking with excitement (I'll let you choose who's doing what), they love this stupid rat. And OBVIOUSLY he couldn't just say, "No, go put it back." Six seventeen/eighteen year olds just brought a rat up to him like they're five years old and they're showing him their favorite new toy, and the rat himself was just sitting in Ocean's hands being cradled like he was the most precious object in the world without even trying to struggle. So they got to keep the rat >:3 They, like, took him to the vet, got him all his shots, made sure he was healthy, and got the terrarium, food, toys, bedding, etc.
In either one Ocean didn't feel like Virgil would be safe at her house, Misha also didn't think he'd be safe at his, Ricky would've taken him, but she has WAYYYYY too many cats, Constance doesn't want to keep him around her baby brother (to avoid biting from either party, she was the second pick if Noel's mom said no :3), and Ezra is afraid of rats/mice so Penny can't take him TvT. So Noel ends up with Virgil in his house after all six do the same thing they did with Father Marcus to his mom, just this time Noel is holding Virgil ^-^
She obviously said yes cus, like, again, who is she to say no to them when they are obviously very attached to this little creature for no apparent reason, and also all severely traumatized from a near-death experience??? So now the choir has a pet rat, and they visit Noel's house much more often than they used to. They love this little creature and treat him like a king. Honestly, he eats better than most of them do (not Constance, she's fed really well cus her family is phenomenal cooks. Ocean and Misha are two points down for "well fed" in this comparison, because Ocean doesn't eat unless she's outside of her own house, and Misha is only fed like, the bare minimum or what he buys himself. Penny, Ricky, and Noel all sometimes question if they are feeding Virgil better than they themselves eat) the choir has realised this, but they don't really care, because Virgil deserves it!
(This is the most spoiled rat in the world, and the entire choir would die again for him if need be. The love this guy.)
