‘Daddy, how did you and papa meet??’ The imaginary toddler’s bright eyes looking intently at both of them, expectant to hear the answer.

‘Oh, you see, sweetie, we met in the worst part of the slums. The first thing papa did upon seeing me was try to kill me with a hat.’

‘Haha, yeah. I remember that day as if it was yesterday. I couldn’t beat ‘im and ‘e then kicked me square in the jaw. That’s when I knew in my ‘eart it was true love!’

They are both fondof borrowing each other’s shirts, however, they don’t do this very often and, sadly for Jonathan, he can’t wear Robert’s withouttechnically tearing them because… well, he’s huge. So it’susually Robert doing most of the borrowing and wearing Jonathan’s shirts whenever this happens..

Robert himself isquite tall and big and muscly, so having someone taller and biggerthan him is still quite an odd thing to him, but in the best of ways! I mean, Tattoo is taller thanhim and I’m pretty sure he’s borrowed stuff from him in the pasttoo, but there was never something romantic between them, so thedynamics/feelings were definitely not of the same kind. That said, there’s something particularly nice to him about this whole “boyfriend shirt” dynamic. He had always been the tallerpartner in every single one of his previous relationships, so it’srather refreshing to have a bigger partner for once and be able to dothat sort of bf stuff, not to mention that Jonathan’s fragrance is quite a delight to Robert’s hightened sense of smell. As for Jonathan,he finds all this rather endearing, in all honesty. There’ssomething quite fulfilling and just...adorable about seeing a man asrough and tough like Robert enjoying all that sort of little things and being so genuinely delightedwith all this stuff but, yeah, our dear gentleman wishes he could dothe same thing, too. And Robert hasn’t missed this last bit, actually, reason why he will always let him borrow other accessories from him that Jonathan can wear more freely (hats, ties, etc). Might not be the same, but it’s something to let his dearest know how special he is~

“I’m terribly sorry this ‘s so late! As for your question: Yes! There were some plans for that special day. Erina took ‘im out for lunch in the mornin’ since she was goin’ to be kinda busy at work later that day. In turn, my plan was t’ take Jojo on a night picnic.”

“Kinda cheesy, I know, but…” A light blush starts to take over Robert’s face. “…but ’s a really nice thing to do with your dear, really. And I know ‘e loves those. And stargazin’, too.”

“Unfortunately… London’s weather ‘ad other plans in mind, apparently, ‘cause it started pourin’ not too long before we were to leave the ‘ouse. We were quite saddened, ‘cause the picnic was somethin’ we were both lookin’ forward to. It was then that we ‘ad a rather lovely idea to make up for it: An indoor picnic in the livin’ room! That way, the food and everythin’ else we already ‘ad for the night wouldn’t go to waste, and we would also be havin’ some fun despite our little setback.”

“And so we did!! We ‘ad a cozy night in by the fire. And ‘e loved ‘is present and the cake I got for ‘im: Double chocolate. ‘is favourite. We then realized the sky ‘ad cleared up enough to allow for some stargazin’ through the huge windows in the livin’ room. Just when we ‘ad given up on that!”

“So we lied down on the blanket on the floor. Y’know: ‘is ‘ead on my chest, both of us lookin’ at the stars and just talkin’ ‘bout anythin’ and everythin’ as I petted ‘is hair. All the servants ‘ad been given the evenin’ off in advance, so the entire ‘ousehold was unusually quiet. From one moment to the next, we were kissin’ and, not long later we…” The previous blush on Speedwagon’s face has come back, though this time in a much darker shade of pink, almost red, as he realized what he had been about to reveal. He then clears his throat before he continues.

“…not long later we… uh, spent the rest of the evenin’ cuddlin’.” Real smooth and not suspicious at all, Robert. Good job…

“But, yeah! It was a really fun night that ‘e genuinely enjoyed!”

“Do you think they will still remember us? We’ve been gone for so long!” A tall brunet asks, and a nod is given in response by his blond partner.

“Pretty sure they do! I think I even saw a couple letters in th’ mail this mornin’.”

“For real?” Genuine joy sparking those deep blue eyes of the taller man.

“As real as I’m standin’ right ‘ere, m’ dear. Wanna check ‘em out?” Those words eliciting a 'Yeah!' loud enough it nearly turns into a shout. “Alrigh’. But, first things first...”

“Ah! That’s correct!!” Jonathan then clears his throat. His voice considerably louder and clearer this time than it was moments prior. “Hello everyone!! Our deepest apologies for our prolonged absence! There were some things we needed to take care of these past months. We did not mean to stay away for such a long period of time, and we –my dear Erina, too– are truly sorry about that. But now that things are back to a much calmer pace, we would like to let you all know that–”

“We’re back in business~!!” Robert’s voice is loud and full of joy as well, matching that big grin on his face.

“Thank you all so much for sticking with us despite our lack of activity around here as of late!!”

“And we hope we can continue to enjoy your presence here!”
