Obsessed with this Mom & Daughter pair I met at my cousin's birthday party yesterday.
I was bonding with the daughter about Pokemon cards and showed her my collection. Then I met the mom and we went from talking about AP exams to me teaching her about Pokemon and how to help her find the value of them for her daughter. She let me go on an hour rant about my interests and how I started with them ( Videogames, comics, drawing) just so she could know how to support her daughter's interests.
The sweetest oh my god!!! Her daughter was so cute too! She was like 10 and I could see my past self when I talked to her. We talked about the comics we like and she said she really liked Cursed Princess Club and I used to read that religiously loll. Very cute interaction! Made my week.
One big fear of mine is that I start mixing up my different attitudes that I have for school vs Friends vs my online.
I can't imagine how embarrassing texting like " okay!!!!!! 😸😸😸" To my club gc or smth would be 😭😭

Everyone likes sticky toffy pudding.
(Dates are actually the main ingredient, so no, that chocolate cake or sand cake or cheese cake that the restaurant served you is not sticky toffy pudding, they are lying to you in hopes that you do not know better and so that they can cheap out on you. The reason why some don't know this or don't realise it is because dates give a very rich chocolate-like flavour when heat is applied, and the "chocolate" that some places use is cheaper. )
You have not lived unless you've tried a proper sticky toffy pudding with proper homemade caramel and proper vanilla in either ice-cream of whipped-cream.
(the note on vanilla is a whole other peice of drama, as most people have never actually tried actual vanilla but instead have eaten flavorings that sort of, kind of, give a hint of a bit of a taste of what vanilla sort of, kind of tastes like. Proper vanilla is genuinely a magical experience, same as proper chocolate, it will be like you suddenly saw the universe and knew it to be beautiful the second it hits your tongue.)
"but vanilla is so boring" yeah, no shit. Synthetic vanilla flavourings are boring as fuck. Sure, i'll buy "vanilla" ice-cream sometimes, but that isn't because it taste like vanilla but because they are genuinely so plain hyet still sugary that it mixes well with everything and doesn't generally detract or distract from the main event.
