How absolutely rude. Wasn’t the youngest of their old unit supposed to treat his seniors with more respect? The junior should be grateful for the kind offer Izumi had graced upon him. Instead he was returned with this attitude and no hint of appreciation anywhere. How annoying!
That soft smile faltered and quickly filled with irritation. Raising his head up, his silver bangs created a shadow covering his eyes, emphasizing his agitation. It looked like he’ll have to scold the red-head again and lecture him on respecting his seniors.
“Why you, shitty brat. I take it all back. Actually, I take back every single compliment I’ve ever given you in the past year. What you were supposed to say was, ‘Thank you Sena-senpai~’ with a cute smile. So, quit staring at me like you’ve just seen some kind of monster.”
Despite his sour attitude returning in full swing, Izumi settled down in the seat next to Kasa-kun. Resuming his position of arms crossed over his chest, a storm of complaints was unleashed on the younger one.
“And all that time and resources spent searching for information on your whereabouts too. I could’ve used it on tracking down Yuu-kun~ You better pay me back for all that~ Don’t get me wrong though. I wasn’t worried, or whatever. Anyways, do you have some kind of weird power too, Kasa-kun?”
As rude as he usually was to his senior, Tsukasa still couldn’t deny that he was relieved to see him in this foreign place. Certainly his words were not lies, and the redhead himself did not realise that the other took offence to them, but they were only part of the truth. As much as the older idol’s appearance could be thought of as an omen, as much did he provide relief in the sense of familiarity amongst all the foreign. He was, however, uncertain as whether to actually voice this thought as a sudden sense of foreboding overwhelmed him with the change of Izumi’s expression.
“ It is exactly because you pull such expressions that I cannot from the bottom of my heart look you in the eye and feel gratitude, Sena-senpai. I somehow feel as though my words were to be held hostage or used for blackmail should I concur and thank you. ”
Yet another unintended attack was shot at the other, in an honest-to-god response entertaining the other’s request. It wasn’t that Izumi was actually a monster or even half as bad as Tsukasa’s words sometimes made him out to be, and the youngest knight knew this as well, but somehow he had enough experiences of betrayal when he dared trust in the other to remain wary. However, hearing the other’s dishonest comment indicating that he had actually worried about him, Tsukasa could not help the smile that tugged at his lips.
“ Very well, if you truly have spent so many resources, I suppose I cannot very well just let it all have been for naught, can I? I’m sorry for having caused you to worry, Sena-senpai. It appears that leaving this place might prove to be quite the problem, so I can assure you that this Suou Tsukasa will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Beside, as you seem to have guessed, I do feel slightly curious towards this peculiar power that has been bestowed upon me. It is all rather stressful, but to have someone familiar around is definitely a relief. ~ ♪ ”
