The grandmaster has not been around Favonius Keep for a few days.
He didn't give a specific reason for the knights at all, he just left with a small note saying that he is busy with something personal but most of the knights have already figured out where the grandmaster is.
Ever since he passed by the Eye of Kratti and helped an old fisherman from the area and the grandmaster never took his eyes off the landscape, more specifically, the flowers that grew around the pond.
The Eye of Kratti is famous for being a cursed place among fishermen, but this land is home to a beautiful tree surrounded by frostlamp flowers. When the grandmaster laid his eyes on this place his mind imagined the smile and sparkle in Nyx's eyes once she sees this place.
So he got to work. Personally perfecting her favorite food, getting everything necessary for a picnic and clearing out any monster in the area and on the route to the Eye as to avoid any distractions along the way and for Nyx to enjoy a peaceful evening.
The days pass and it was the day for his date with the love of his life. Seeing Nyx leave the flagship made Varka freeze in his place, no matter how many times he sees her, Nyx is the prettiest person he has ever met in his life and the grandmaster doubts anyone can ever rival Nyx's beauty.
The grandmaster quickly masked away his nervousness by taking Nyx's hand and taking her along the pathway to the Eye of Kratti, no monsters in sight, no treasure hoarders trying to ambush them, the walk was peaceful as Varka and Nyx talked about what each of them did in the past few days.
When they reached the Eye of Kratti, Varka's eyes were locked on Nyx as she took in the view in front of her. The sunlight casting a natural glow on the pond, giving it a warm look as the several frostlamp flowers glittered under the sunset.
"I figured this place is perfect for a picnic." Varka said, looking at Nyx who looked back at him with a gentle smile.
"It's beautiful."
And in Varka's eyes, the view became much more beautiful with Nyx's smile.
And when Varka placed a flower crown he made with frostlamp flowers on her head, Nyx's smile was so mesmerizing that he had to take a picture.
This picture now stays in his pocket as a constant reminder that wherever he goes, he has someone to come back to.
