i js put it down cuz like imo Toby gets kinda fed up with his tics from time to time so having someone around him who does it too is refreshing almost? and so he likes to exam your tics and what they sound like to see how different they are from his in a way? which results in him thinking theyre cute and sometimes abit funny bc hes paying more attention to them.

closing your eyes, the creak of someone walking down stairs can be heard. jeff descends, humming a tune you cant quite make out and swinging his knife round and round.
but as he enters the kitchen, he comes to a halt and the world seems to do so, too. he breathes.

his legs move without even thinking, dropping next to you and rolling you on your back. he checks your heartbeat. faint. barely there. -unless thats his own heart drumming in his ears and against every inch of him.
"jesus...what the fuck happened!?"
your mouth opens but nothing comes out. his hands slide under your knees and neck, liftinf you into his arms and holding you close as he runs to the van.
"so fucking pathetic you cant even rid of a human being. please, it isnt that hard."
a pause.
"fuck you for letting them do this. ill get you to Jack when we're back." he places you on the car seat then gets in himself.
it doesn't take long before hes out the car and rushing to Eyeless Jacks room. the adrenaline rush he got from the sight of you bleeding out on the floor makes him realize too late that youre no longer in his arms.
it takes Jack to point out the fact youve gone cold and your breathing has stopped for him to realise you'd left him before he even managed to see you.
the world pauses again as he stares down at you tucked away in his arms.
your soul left the earth when the world came to a stop in that kitchen. his world came to a stop - but hed never admit that.
jack leaves the two of you alone.
jeff slumps down to the floor, head leaning against the door. he closes his eyes and a heavy breath slips out of him.
