List of things that’ve been. worked out since we were last here, and we feel need stated. Also maybe some general headcanons but, idk.

Main verse: #I’ll Be Good; -Nilesy is… even more scarred, but alive. -He’s moved homes again; the new one is slightly bigger, and in a muggy, rain forest-y area. -It has a room for Cypress -He loves the area a lot ngl, its warm and the damp aor os easy to breathe. -He… doesn’t get along with Cypress’ other father, but they are talking minimally; enough so that it allows Niles to keep Cypress with him sometimes. -Cypress has, finally, started to talk. Niles is trying to cut down on the swearing (though those efforts usually fall a little short). -Cypress can also walk, and enjoys chasing the cats. -(his first words were “Mis'er kitty, no!”) -He can also swim extremely well, and enjoys splashing stuff with his tail fins. -Especially the cats. -And occasionally Panda. -Niles has built a seperate sorta-house near his actual house. This is where all of his Thaum and witchery stuff has been moved. It is locked with a Rowan Wood door. -He’s finally figured out how to kill the thaumic slimes on his own. -He usually has to get a shower afterwards, though. -He does not even attempt to play around with magic stuff when Cypress is around. -Or fuck with trees, because Screw Ents -He’s made a new portal to the twilight forest. -It comes out in one of the blizzard places though so he doesn’t visit

Had Nilesy not been struggling to even breathe, he would’ve probabaly been screaming. Sharp flashes and pops of light faded to bokeh vision, glasses usless even if they hadn’t been shattered and far out of reach, layers of wood scratched away under his nails as something sharp was pulled from his back.

“I told you,” a heavy grunt and strangled screams, cries and desperate, pathetic attempts at pleading, “to stop hurting Sjin, Nilesy.”

He wanted to pass out… we would pass out, but not without an adrenaline-fueled attempt to move first. He was pinned surprisngly well, and he lost all strength as he realized he’d been stabbed clean throught. Words had no time to register before he fainted, but it didn’t stop Xephos from spitting them in his direction.

“Keep the sword, friend.”
