( n/a / 35 / cis male / he/him ) â did you see NOWA SANDERS wandering around the island today? they kind of look like OLIVER JACKSON COHEN from certain angles? i heard around town that the PEDIATRIC SURGEON is PROTECTIVE, and COMPASSIONATE, but also STUBBORN , and PRIDEFUL. people say that they remind them of SLEEP DEPRIVATION ONLY SOOTHED BY MULTIPLE ESPRESSOS, DARK GREEN SCRUBS AND A STETHOSCOPE , and A BUBBLY FIVE YEAR OLD ATTACHED TO HIS LEG, and BROKEN by PALAYE ROYALE is definitely their theme song. they seem like a nice enough person, but we all know how hard it is to keep a pristine reputation in a small town. The Von Family - a name with a reputation of nothing good. Richard Von comes from a trailer park family with a bad taste of chaos. However, Nowa is the kind of man who has tried hard to separate himself from that. When people think of Nowa, a gentle giant is the immediate reference that comes to mind. It's what he is - a man with a heart of gold that is ready to protect and be there for his family at a drop of a dime.
The Von family is made up of seven siblings - all of different mothers but the same father. Each sibling has their mess of trauma and sin. They call themsleves the Seven Deadly Sins. Nowa is the second oldest Von child.
Mom was a total addict so he often lived with his father more than anything else. Grew up close to his older brother since he lived with their dad whenever shit got too bad with his mom.
Really resents his father for all his bullshit and the mess he made. He blames his siblingsâ (and his own) dysfunction on him.
Grew up with a sense of responsibility over his younger siblings as they came into his life.
Tried to stay in the narrow path growing up. Never doing much drinking or getting involved with the stuff the younger Vons did. In fact, heâs pretty ignorant to the extent of the chaos and vices of his family for a reason.
Put in the effort at school and was able to get a full ride to pre-med school. He became a surgeon and currently works at the local hospital.
When he was 28, he met his ex-wife Gina. They fell in love and were married a year later. Soon after, when Nowa was 30, Caleb was born.
He doesnât know when or how but things changed in his marriage. Gina became exceedingly abusive.Â
The abuse longest for over five years.
Still, that all changed about two years ago. Needing extra help with his son, Nowa and Gina agreed to hire a babysitter/part-time nanny. Through a family friend of Nowaâs, he hired Oliver Sanders to watch Caleb. The two spent a year getting to know each other. Oli picked up on the troubles of Noahâs marriage. Nowa was drawn to who Oliver was.Â
Oliver began to teach Nowa sign language to better communicate and it was an excuse to spend more time together. They danced around each other for a long time until they caved.Â
After confessing their feelings for each other, they quickly fell in love and began an affair together. Eventually, Nowa did leave his wife and gained full custody. He married Oliver shortly after and the two started their family together. Though not many know the truth of how this all started. They just saw a quick shift in the home and in Nowa.

Best friend: Nowa has lived in Kingshaven all of his life so chances are he knows a lot of the locals and grew up along side of them. The Von Family has their own fame - not a good one. This would be someone who has lived through the roughness of Nowaâs childhood and stuck with him through it all. Someone who Nowa really trusts and depends on. They would have known about his awful marriage, the affair between him and Oliver when it began and everything in betweenÂ
Siblings: I would love to have the other siblings be a part of them There is more information on this on in his wanted connections page! (or will be).

Never in his life did Noah picture the day he would be able to be a member of Kingâs Gym and Tennis courts. With a history and family origin like his, that wasnât supposed to be in the cards for him. Yet, here he was walking out of the tennis courts after a lesson. He normally only used the actual gym portion of the club, preferring to focus on strength training to anything else, but as way to release stress, he had signed up for tennis lessons and found he actually enjoyed it. Even if he was still an abysmal player. Wiping at his forehead with a hand towel, Noah caught the eyes of another person and chuckled as he began to make his way off the court. âDid you see that?â He asked, referring to how his trainer had absolutely decimated him. âHe keeps saying Iâm not that bad for a beginner but I beg to differ.âÂ
"you know, people love the beach garden gnome. no idea why. they're ugly as hell, but, people love 'em. i had to order like ten more last week. hand painted. i think they look like something you'd smuggle weed in. god, I hate these things." diego didn't know how he managed to leave the shop carrying the stupid gnome. but it was too late to put it back now, his first instinct was to pawn it off.
Garden gnomes, as Diego so ranted about, were an unfortunate byproduct of living in a place like Kingshaven. He remembered from his youth how every single trailer seemed to have at least two of them by the front steps. His mother had liked them too. Now, despite his best efforts, his own home had somehow managed to be decorated with two. He didnât even remember buying the creepy things and was convinced they just spawned everywhere. Frankly, Noah was a little scared of the things. Some people feared clowns, Noah feared garden gnomes. It was a bit comical given he was a giant in stature and that was the very reason he never spoke of the fear publicly. Though, if Diego simply glanced at him, he would be able to see the disdain and unease in which Noah looked down at the thing.âYou and me both - I donât know why people find them appealing. Why did you even pick it up? You could have left it on the shelf before we checked out.â
The park was buzzing with activity as Nadya strolled through the grassy fields. Children were running and playing, dogs were barking and chasing each other, and the smell of barbeque wafted through the air. It was the perfect day to be outsideâdespite it being winter. She was glad she had decided to take a break from her hectic schedule. As she found a quiet spot and lay down on the grass, she closed her eyes and let out a contented sigh. The cool blades of grass tickled her hands, and she couldnât help but smile. Minutes later, she felt someone sit down next to her. Without looking at the newcomer, she spoke up. âIsnât today a beautiful day? I wish winter would end already.â
The local park wasnât a fond childhood memory for Noah. He had never spent an afternoon here playing catch with his dad or playing in the childrenâs area while his mom read a book. His childhood was very far removed from that. Yet, he was all for building new memories and good experiences for his own son. With the weather permitting for such activities - despite it being the dead of winter - Noah took the chance. It seemed he wasnât the only one with a similar idea. As Caleb began to play with some of the other children, Noah took a seat down the grass with a sigh, glancing over at the person he had sat near to. âIt is. Itâs that rare summer day in the middle of winter that happens every February.â Noah chuckled, shaking his head. âGotta love New England.â Running a hand through his hair, Noah leaned back, letting his weight rest on his hand that he used to steady himself. âNeeded a break?âÂ
janie didnât handle working from home in an empty office very well...or at all. therefore, it was for the good of the project timeline that she be entertained, so really her client should thank her for leaving her apartment to distract herself with the company of other people. âthis is an emergency,â she said as she dropped into the nearest empty chair. âi need your opinion,â she paused and tilted her head, pursing her freshly glossed lips, âbut only if youâre going to agree with me.â
On a rare day off and even more rare time alone, Noah found himself enjoying a freshly brewed latte accompanied by a blueberry muffin and the newest historical fiction book he had gotten his hands on. He was about to start a new chapter and take a sip when there was suddenly another presence seated in front of him. He almost chuckled but held back - Janie and him grew up on the opposite sides of the Kingshaven spectrum. He had been born and raised in the trailer park and she had been in the wealthiest of gated communities. Yet, here the two natives sat. Folding the corner of his page, the surgeon put his book down and leaned forward to show she had his undivided attention. âI can promise Iâll be honest and agree with you if youâre right.â He offered with a grin, motioning with his hand for her to continue. âWhatâs going on?â

bentley really didnât    go out   places ,   it was   the shop ,    the club house   and    then home .    why get into anymore    trouble than    he was    already in .    though tonight ,     there was a   injuries    he had sustained    from a few people ,    the biggest one was    the bullet    that had    grazed him ,    ever so slightly.    as he makes    his way    out     the bathroom ,     he spots   the other   in    the middle   of      his room     â what the     hell   are    you doing here ,    at this     time ? â
Holding his hands up, Noah offers at least a sheepish smile and look of mild embarrassment. âYou left the door of your place partially open.â It was a weak defense and had it been any one else, Noah would have never ventured inside. However, Bentley was his friend and after hearing through the grapevine that it appeared he had been injured, well, he took liberty to break his own rules. âListen, you know I donât make it a habit to barge in and let alone come over this late. But this town talks,â he gave him a pointed look because that was the only thing about Kingshaven that could be trusted. âAnd someone said that it looked like you had been hurt or bleeding or something so I figured I would check on you. Being a doctor and all.â He pointed out with a small chuckle as he leaned against the wall. âAre you alright?â
itâs been 45 minutes and sheâs already waiting on that second tequila shot. the burger she ordered hadnât been served yet and she wondered if they were butchering the poor beast in the back. okay so sheâs a little impatient but sheâs hungry and in a very particular mood. the meeting was a success, but once again she was shafted to just getting the coffee and stupid pastries. she was more than that, and everyone knew it, which made it absolutely worse. â listen, do you think i could actually get a double? no, i wonât start getting annoying this time, i promise. âÂ
It was a well known insider fact - or at least, it was to Nowa - that some of the best drinks and food came from the hotel rather than the local restaurants. Sometimes, he made a pit stop at the hotel for whenever he was really craving a burger and a drink after a particularly hard day at the hospital. Right now, he was coming off an almost 36 hour shift and even though it was technically lunch time, it was dinner for him. Still, as he glanced at his watch, he wondered what was possibly taking so long today. As his companion at the bar spoke up, Nowa chuckled and took a sip of his drink. âI think youâve been waiting as long as I have.â He sighed, sitting back in his seat. âProbably extremely short staffed today.â
Who: Noah Von x Oliver Sanders
Location: Oliverâs apartment
Noah turned to look at his boyfriend with a laugh as he tried to unlock the door to Oliverâs apartment; he could see him vibrating with excitement. Halloween had been a day spent in joy - more than Noah even knew was possible. They had celebrated Oliâs birthday with his family and then trick-or-treated. The Sanders went all out and Noah had loved how much fun Caleb had with his new family. Even if Oliverâs costume choice had made it damn near impossible to control himself. Watching his son smile and play with his cousins had brought unfiltered joy to Noahâs heart. He didnât think he would ever have a life like this again, one where he was so intensely happy.
Though his divorce still needed to be filed, but now with custody papers, Noah was ready for that next step. Next step with Gina, but more importantly, next step with Oliver. Everything he had planned was only made sweeter with the knowledge that today was Oliverâs birthday too. He could only hope that he would love all the surprises he had in store. Once the apartment door was unlocked, Noah grinned to himself and turned to face Oli. âOkay, close your eyes and Iâll lead you inside, bunny.â Noah signed to Oliver, finding it hard to contain his smile. He moved to stand behind his love and used his hands to cover Oliverâs eyes to ensure he wasnât peeking and began to lead them inside carefully. He kicked the door shut with foot and guided them towards the living room that he had set up for them. It was decorated from corner to corner, ready for a night of Halloween movies and Oliâs favorite sweets, snacks and dinner for them. Not to mention the plethora of pillows and blankets he had strategically set up on the floor for them cuddle on while they watched the movies. It was now time for them to celebrate his birthday privately and Noah was a ball of nervous energy. Removing his hands, Noah moved to stand in front of Oliver and leaned in to kiss him sweetly as his way to tell him he could open his eyes. Once they were opened and those baby blues he loved so much were on him, Noah smiled. âHappy birthday, munchkin.â He said and stepped to the side so Olive could see his surprise.Â
ELSA smiled warmly at the sight of Leon excited to see Caleb, and observed them playing momentarily until Noahâs voice wakes her up from her distraction. â Hey! Fancying seeing you too. â She said to him. â Sorry, I canât stand up to greet properly because of this little man. â The 5 months old baby was on her lap, babbling and clapping his tiny hands, and she handed Roman to Noah carefully, and he stared at Elsa, with his tiny hand on his mouth. â Thank you⌠â She stretched her arms that was a bit dormant because of Romy. â I should be the one for thanking the invitation. Leon got super excited to meet Caleb. Roman, well⌠I think heâs enjoying it. He gives me headaches at times⌠I have to take the car at night and driving around without a route until he fall asleep. Leon was so easy. â She explained, while observed the boys, playing. â Enough about boring topics⌠â She looked back at him with her pair of grey-bluish hues tired, sighing deeply, looking at Romy that was smiling. The blonde already thought she was boring Noah.
x
Noah carefully held the five-month baby in his arms once he was handed over and smiled down at him. He could remember how young and stressful it had been when Caleb was this young. Bouncing the baby lightly in his arms to keep him happy, Noah raised his eyes to look at Elsa with a soft smile. âCaleb was too - he loves making new friends and they seem to getting on great.â The doctor observed, glancing over to their kids. Listening to her struggles, Noah felt a twinge of deep sympathy for the woman. He wondered where dad was in all of this. âIs Alejandro not helping?â Noah asked, but tried to tread around the topic lightly. It wasnât really his business anyways. âBut I get it. Caleb was a fussy a baby too and there were nights that just didnât seem to end. We struggled a lot in the first few months of raising him.â He admitted, and maybe thatâs when all their issues really started. They had been happy before that. Frowning, Noah adjusted Roman in his arms. âItâs not boring, Elsa. Itâs real - donât feel like you canât about this stuff. Iâm a dad - I get it. This isnât easy.â

Mason hadnât plan on ever showing his face back in this town when he left three years ago, the place only having memories that heâd prefer to forget attached to them. It was hard to say no to his younger sister though, especially when she sounded the way she did. Slowly, he was telling the rest of his siblings that he had come back into town. First on his list was Noah.
Smirking, âIâm waiting for Poppyâs mom to come into town,â he pushed his sunglasses on his head, ârushing Poppy to school has been hectic.â He hadnât realized there was so much to raising a kid that he didnât realize without her mother to help, he was losing his mind.
xx
Out of his brothers, Mason was probably the one he was closest to. PErhaps, it was because for a little while, it had been just them, even as the other siblings had started to come to their family. Or maybe, it was because they shared such similarities in their childhood. In the end, Mason was his older brother and though he could be a dick to their kid siblings, Noah had always appreciated his honesty. It had kept him on the straight and narrow for a long time.Â
Chuckling, Noah hummed in agreement - this was Calebâs first year of school and just finding out how to get him to and from kindergarten had proved to be a headache. He needed to get some help.  âIs she following you guys down?â Noah asked curiously, always slightly confused on the argument between the parents. âBut I get it - Caleb is starting school - can you believe that? - and the schedule is hectic.â He sighed, shaking his head. âGina has been no help and the hospital has been busy but weâre making due. You should come over for dinner soon, I know Caleb would love to meet you and his cousin.â Back when Mason had left, his kid had only been two years old. For someone so young, Caleb had no idea who his uncle was. Then again, the boy was in the dark from most of the family. Noah refused to let any toxic behavior near his son. He had enough to deal with.Â
It was a shame, the way things seemed to be turning out for Hidehill. The police were incompetent, taking something like a tip and flimsy evidence as enough to arrest someone, all while the real killer remained out there. Sheâd imagine the stupidity of it all fueled the killers amusement, going as far to send everyone a message about the next victim. âYeah, it does seem that way, doesnât it?â It felt obvious, someone was going to die in the near future, and there wasnât a damn thing anyone could do about it. Yeji turned her head to Noah, offering a small smile. âI guess Iâm fine, all things considered. Though, I am outside a liquor store in the middle of the night, which is probably telling,â she replied, biting her lip and glancing down at the ground for a moment. âThe next letter was N, wasnât it?â she asked softly, fully aware of the meaning behind it.
xx
It was outrageous that they couldnât count on the police department to keep them safe and instead had to reply on themselves to figure out ways of self-preservation. Part of Noah didnât even want to go to this wedding. If something happened, he couldnât picture himself putting himself in a position to leave his son without a father.  âWell, ifit makes you feel any better, clearly, youâre not the only one out this late in search for solace.â It probably said a lot about them but Noah liked to think they had an excuse given everything. The reminder of the clue had the doctor inhaling sharply, âYeah, it was.â He confirmed, a single nod of his head. They didnât need to clarify, they both knew what that meant. Noah had a huge target on him. As did his siblings. âThis wedding is a bad idea.â Noah hissed under his breath, mostly to himself instead of Yeji but the foreboding feeling only grew in his gut with each passing day.Â
Maggie couldnât help but let a smile appear on her face when he took her hand. She didnât know if it was in her imagination, but she had always felt a connection to Noah. Usually, she stopped her thoughts before they even reached surface level in her brain because she reminded herself that he was still a married man. âYou let me know if you need help with those siblings of yours. You know that I love that crazy bunch and Iâd be more than happy to help out with anything.â She took a sip from her glass, setting it down on the table. Her eyes lingered on their hands still held together before she broke her eyes away and looked back at him. âHeâs got a little girlfriend.â She shook her head, smiling âHe is all kinds of smitten with her too. Talks about her like she puts the stars in the sky herself.â
xx
Noah glanced down at their joined hands for a moment, giving it another friendly squeeze before he let go off the physical touch. To this day, he didnât know how Maggie could actually enjoy and love the chaos that came from his siblings. Most of the time, they were the source of many migraines but he loved them anyways. âPlease, jump in whenever. Iâm sure Nancy and I could use the damn break.â Even with his annoyance and exasperation, Noah would always prefer to have their whole family together. âOh?â Noah asked, dark eyebrow quirked in question. âWow - how are you dealing with that?â He asked her cause as a parent... that was a big step in any kidâs life. He wasnât sure how he would feel when Caleb was old enough to start dating but his reaction probably didnât compare to a motherâs. Gina being the exception cause he wasnât entirely convinced sheâd care.Â
For a moment, he believes Noahâs sincerity. The only sign that he nearly gives into it is that Nathaniel is quiet. Lips are pressed firmly together waiting for Noah to crack first, and when he finally does, the quip of defense is given a breath of life.Â
âIâm always careful.â The lie tastes sweet, and thatâs why Nathaniel relies on it.Â
Heâs taken the words of wisdom that Noahâs thrown at him more than once to piece together his own guide. Every reason as to why he shouldnât has only ever given Nate means of finding his own path around it. The dangers affiliated with what his body now relies on have just barely been avoided, but itâs only straight and narrow path he knows and heâs willing to go down. A nick here and there wonât kill himââ not yet.Â
âI know the basics, Noah. As long as I donât break those rules, Iâm golden,â He assured him, but consideration of just how loyal heâs been crosses his mind. Nathaniel doesnât give his brother a moment to catch it, though. His gaze never breaks his, and sincerely is easy to fake when desperation for trust is stronger. âI came to you just in case it was⌠somethinâ else. Itâs just a rash, right? We had a crazy show the other day in a warehouse, I got snagged by a few things. Iâm convinced it was that. I got a tetanus ages ago, but maybe I was due for a new one by the time this thing showed up.â
The rationality is questionable, but Nathanielâs certainty could be contagious. Then, of course, there was deflection.
âI had to get it boosted a few years ago when our feral kid brother bit me when we were out of country. It could be that all I got was a cortisone shot, and not the tetanus. I should probably send Abe your way if thatâs the case.â
xx
Noah sighed, eyes still on his younger brotherâs arm as a gloved finger gently prodded at the skin around the infection. âIf you were careful, we wouldnât be here.â Noah didnât hold back the bitter tasting truth that battled against the sugary undertones of Nateâs well practiced lie. If he wasnât doing the shit he did, all of this could be avoided.Â
Noah wouldnât worry every day that he would get a phone call about Nathaniel Von.
It was the crux of it all - Noah didnât trust Nate. Despite the constant reminders and false bravado that he was being careful, there was no amount of care that would negate bad outcomes. Not today with this nasty infection and certainty not with the future they both knew he was heading.Â
The older brother clear his throat and let go of the arm. âYou have cellulitis, Nate, and that shit ainât a joke. Itâs already spreading - you should have come in sooner.â There was no point in chastising him - it would make no difference. âIâm going to prescribe you a antibiotics - though I would rather you stay and let me get an IV on you.âÂ
As he was writing things down in his chart, Noah paused mid typing on the iPad. âWait, Abe did what?â He swear he didnât understand their relationship but even that seemed out of pocket too. He blinked at Nate, once and then twice again to try to process. âWhat the actual fuck, Nate?â Noah questioned his brother, shutting off the iPad before shaking his head. âYeah, Iâm getting you a tetanus shot and you need to get Abe in to see me too. Tomorrow, Nate, Iâm not joking.â
The least worries she forwarded to her brother, the less she could in turn worry herself with overwhelming him. Noah was already doing his best by providing her money she always told him she didnât need, in order to assist with the extra bill that came with taking care of her two very grown brothers. A life where she could live peacefully without them under her roof but she also didnât have to worry about them out doing things that could harm them in anyway was a complete dream. Sometimes, she wanted to drop everything, pick up and leave the boys to their devices in her home for as long as she possibly could. But again, she knew that wasnât a reality she could live anytime soon. âYou worry too much. Iâve got it this time, really.âÂ
For as long as she could recall, Nancy was one of the backbones of the Von family, keeping everyoneâs heads on straight and trying her best to show unconditional love. Even if she yelled at Nathaniel on a daily basis, she still made sure dinner was made for him every night, that his bedding was clean and that he was right there in that bed she had in his room before she went to sleep herself. Often times, he wasnât, but in her heart of hearts, she would simply hope that he would be there for breakfast in the morning. âIâm⌠shocked. But if heâs happy, itâs not really our place to combat it. You know, they say if you try to redirect someoneâs life, their independence will feel threatened and then..â she thought about the outcome of that, pursing her lips at the imagery. âBut, Iâm going to get my dress soon.â
xx
It concerned him how much he knew Nancy took on for their family - he hated how their trauma's and sin had forced her to grow up so fast that he often forgot how damn young she actually was. He was nearly a decade older than her and yet, she was the one he most related too. It hardly seemed fair and itâs why Noah jumped in to lend support to her whenever he could. Their brothers, though beloved, could be leeches from the healthier aspect of Nancy. Grown man adding an extra bill to their sister when they easily made more than her was unfair as it was toxic. Noah mused then that it fit the MO for their shit show of a family. Hopefully, getting married would make Nate grow up a bit and find his own place ot live and lift some of the burden their sister. Abe would probably do better without the pressure of Nate constantly around but that seemed like a dream heâd had to stop chasing soon enough. Maybe, Mason had a point.
âItâs my job to worry, actually. You worry too much.â He rebutted, giving her a pointed looked before taking another piece of chicken. âIâll stop by later and if the boys become to much, just tell him. I donât mind putting them in their place.â The last thing they would do is abuse her generosity. Noah didnât say anything as Nancy spoke, mulling over her words. It was the approach he often had with everything Nate did and yet, he felt that sometimes being uiet had its own consequences. But, Noah was well aware that telling Nate to not do this now, would end up worse. âYeah, maybe, but Iâm scared that Heidi will only make him worse, Nancy.â He sighed, not feeling like he had to hide his thoughts from her of all people. âNate is already so...â He trailed off, furrowed brows the only indication of the level of concern he actually felt for Nathaniel. shaking it off, Noah exhaled a breath. âIâm picking up my suit tomorrow. I donât think Iâm letting Caleb go to the wedding, not with the Shadowâs threat. I have to find a babysitter.â Heâd ask around, but chances are that Nehemiah or Maisie would probably be watching him.Â

Nash sat on one of the chairs in Noahâs place, leaning back. He raised his legs and placed them on the coffee table as his hands rest against his thighs, tapping his hand against them. âWhatâs been going on lately?â He asked, turning his head to look over at his brother. Nash was never good at communication. Especially with his siblings and Noah had always been the one he came running to when things got too bad at home but he never made a peep on how bad it was. âNateâs gettinâ married, can you believe it?â
Noah walked back into the living room, two beers in his hand as he handed on to his younger brother before settling the couch. Nash didnât talk much, but he had always been welcomed to seek refuge with Noah. He understood not wanting to discuss the things in their life, Noah was a pretty closed book himself. Caleb was a few feet away, playing with his Legos and once he was sure his son was fine, Noah looked a Nate and sighed. âHonestly? Trying to lay low.â He didnât elaborate, not wanting to speak the dealings of the Shadow around Caleb. He reached up and scratched at the corner of his eye at the mention of the upcoming nuptials. âNo, I donât.â He admitted, mostly because he was still convinced this was joke. There was no way this was legitimate. âDid you know if they were even dating?â Noah pried, curious because as of right now, he could only believe this was a crazy stunt propelled by Nateâs drug addiction. But he didnât mention that - heâd take Nateâs secret to the grave. âGiven everything going on, I still think they should post pone the wedding. Itâs...stupid to go through with it still, donât you think?â He couldnât be the only one in his family that saw how dangerous this was. Almost the entire Von family was under the Shadowâs target and they were still going to go to this wedding?
Emery couldnât help but laugh at the words that left his mouth, shaking her head though she knew there was truth behind them. âI may of been out a little too late and forgotten about having to open the store.â She shrugged, approaching the counter to place her order for an iced coffee with an extra shot of espresso. âSkipping the concealer might not of been the smartest decision, but coffee seemed more important. That has to count for something, right?â
âHow do you manage to make mornings look so easy?â The blonde questioned, laughing once more as he eyes scanned the items on display. âWhat do you think of the bagels? Are the pastries a better way to go?â There were too many options and maybe it was the leftover alcohol in her system clouding her judgment, but she wouldnât have to make the decision alone.

âIâm sure a couple of minutes wonât be a big deal but donât worry, Iâll keep your secrets.â Noah laughed, taking a sip of his coffee before nodding vehemently. âOh, coffee trumps everything. Itâs a priority.â He would say that coffee was his source of life, but then again, many in his profession probably would too. In fact, heâd rather be a minute or two late and have his coffee than not - even if the sense of tardiness made him uneasy. He was usually extremely punctual.Â
âYears of practice.â Noah hummed, momentarily distracted by the slice of banna bread he had almost chosen instead of the tart he had grabbed. âYou learn to get through mornings as a med student and doctor - but trust me, I hate mornings too.â He laughed, lifting a shoulder in an easy shrug. âTheir bagels are fantastic and their cream cheese of the month is really good. But Iâm partial to sweets so, pastries. Definitely.âÂ
