Ragebait is meant to be like... pineapple on pizza or something.

Calling someone a slur and throwing the "ragebait" sticker on it does not negate the fact you said a slur.

Saying something extremely offensive and calling it "ragebait" does not suddenly make it okay.

And most importantly - making sex jokes about 17 year old Junko Furuta and making fun of her r#pe and torture is not "ragebait". You are a sick individual.

"Bro fell for the ragebait" No, I did not. I'm pointing out the fact that what you're saying isn't even fucking ragebait, its just cruel and awful.

Controversial opinion: I hope all the people making fun of her death get doxxed and publicly outed. Even get into legal trouble for joking about how a teenage girl "enjoyed getting assaulted".

And people use the excuse that "people made fun of Charlie Kirk's death, so what's the difference between us making fun of hers?"

I'll tell you! Charlie Kirk was a controversial political figure who made numerous awful comments regarding women, people of colour, and other minorities. Junko Furuta was an innocent teenage girl who was tortured for over a month. That's the fucking difference. Their deaths are incomparable. She should not be brought into this discussion to be used as a laughing stock to "get back at the leftists".

We want to begin by stating that the blanket removal of all 18+ games, is, in our view, an overcorrection. This decision impacts both developers, who have spent years creating these projects, and players, who paid for them and should retain access to their purchases. We stand in solidarity with the creators affected by this sweeping action and with the communities that have been fractured as a result.

It’s important to note that this is a layered situation. We believe Itch was pressured by its payment processors, and forced to make an impossible choice: protect creative expression or preserve the infrastructure of their platform. (Steam recently experienced a similar situation on a smaller scale.) While it’s not quite clear what has happened behind the scenes, we know that gaming communities across the world are struggling due to this decision.

At this time, the 18+ DLCs for Our Life have not been affected, as they are hosted primarily through Patreon. Should that change, we will update our community immediately. We hope to see a more nuanced solution in the near future. In the meantime, we’ll be supporting creators wherever we can.
