We had a pinnacle of this week theme Park rangers.

Students admired their weekly crafts, colored various wild animals pictures and played with panda figurines.

It was a hot day so the water table was on our schedule too. We chopped fruits and had a delicious cold treat.

We decorated canvas bags to take home all our art from this week. We combined our badges and animal print scarves to finish our ranger hats.

We read two fun books that added many new characters to Mary Had a Little Lamb and Itsby Bitsy Spider. We laughed while singing the new lyrics together.

We practiced knife safety before cutting pineapple, watermelon, mango, kiwi, and blueberries to add to our shaved ice.

Summer School – Wild Rescue Rangers: Day 5

Today was the final day of our Wild Rescue Rangers summer course, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate an amazing week of learning! We reviewed the dangers that humans can create for wildlife and discussed the many ways we can help protect endangered animals and their habitats.

Students designed colorful wildlife conservation posters that encouraged others to take action and care for our planet. They also completed their Wildlife Rescue Rangers Journals, which turned out beautifully and were filled with everything they learned throughout the week.

To celebrate, we enjoyed a refreshing shaved ice treat topped with fresh fruit that the students helped prepare.

We wrapped up the day with a fun Kahoot! quiz that tested our knowledge of biomes, habitats, endangered animals, and conservation.

Today was the 4th day of our B course.

It was very hot day so we used water tables to refresh ourselves.

The main activity was a Diorama on Panda in wild.

Students had a blast creating their own panda habitat.

Summer School – Wild Rescue Rangers: Day 4

Today, our Wild Rescue Rangers learned about the important work of wildlife rescue teams. We started the day by watching a video that showed rangers rescuing animals from poachers, caring for injured wildlife, and safely releasing them back into their natural habitats. Our focus vocabulary included poaching, ranger, rescue, and oil spill, and we discussed how these words relate to protecting endangered animals. Students also learned about dangers created by humans, such as sea turtles becoming trapped in fishing nets and how pollution can harm wildlife. We talked about the many ways people can help protect animals and their habitats. For our hands-on activity, students designed their own ranger badges and created wildlife footprint tote bags to celebrate their role as junior conservationists. It was a fun and creative day that reminded us everyone can help make a difference for wildlife!

We learned about pandas today. We watched how quickly they can eat bamboo. We built a bamboo forest so that our pandas can munch on bamboo all day. We learned the word “mist” today too. This is like clouds on the ground. We used white clay to make mist in our forests.

Today was 3rd day of our B course.

Student were busy to decorate their park ranger hats.

We shared laughs during musical chair game and lunch.

It was an exciting day with water table and lots of

storybooks as well.

We learned about different animal body parts. We read a fun story about a boy who wishes for different animal parts. We played a guess the animal game with animal silhouettes. We practiced the sentence “I think it is a __________.”

We decorated door knob hangers. We had fun using a lot of different stickers.

Water play really helped to cool us down today.

Summer School – Wild Rescue Rangers: Day 3

Today, our Wild Rescue Rangers dove into the amazing marine biome and learned about some of its endangered animals. We reviewed the difference between a biome and a habitat before exploring new vocabulary words, including estuary and coastal. Students discovered fascinating facts about the whale shark, blue whale, sea turtle, hammerhead shark, and smalltooth sawfish, and discussed the reasons these animals are endangered, including pollution, overfishing, habitat loss, and climate change. We talked about how healthy oceans are important for both wildlife and people. During our hands-on activity, we put the finishing touches on our temperate forest, Arctic, and marine biome dioramas. The completed projects turned out exceptional and beautifully showcase the habitats and endangered animals we have learned about so far!

Today was the second day of our week themed Wild Park Rangers

We decorated nice fabric bags with animal footprints.

We made animal designer door tag as well.

Due some technical issue we didn’t take any class pics, we will do some more tomorrow.

We decorated ranger hats today. Each ranger used a combination of marker, glue, and patches to show off their creativity. Our ranger costumes are coming along nicely.

We practiced speaking in sentences about nature. We learned that nature includes animals, plants, and weather. We played an alphabet and phonics game. Everyone sat in a circle and shared an animal name from A - Z.

Summer School – Wild Rescue Rangers: Day 2

Today, our Wild Rescue Rangers explored the fascinating Arctic! We watched a video to learn about the Arctic tundra and the marine biome, discovering the unique animals that call these habitats home. We focused on polar bears, walruses, and beluga whales, discussing why they are threatened or vulnerable. Students learned how climate change and human activities are affecting Arctic habitats and making it more difficult for these animals to survive. We also talked about the important role people can play in protecting wildlife and the environment. During our hands-on activity, we continued building our dioramas by creating the Arctic habitats for the animals we studied today. Our projects are coming to life, and we can't wait to add more biomes and endangered animals as the week continues!

Welcome to Course B! Our theme for the week is Wild Rescue Rangers. We will be learning about what park rangers do. We will learn about nature and how to take care of it. We will focus on learning about plants and animals too.

We introduced park ranger duties. We made badges to show that we like nature and will help animals, plants, and people in the park.

We practiced writing animal names and sentences in our journals.

We had outdoor water play, reading time, and puzzle time after lunch.

Summer School – Wild Rescue Rangers: Day 1

Today was an exciting first day of our Wild Rescue Rangers summer course! We learned what it means for an animal to be endangered and explored the difference between a biome and a habitat. Our first biome was the temperate forest, where we focused on the giant panda and its bamboo forest habitat. We discussed the challenges pandas face and the reasons they are considered endangered. Students also made their first entries in their Ranger Journals, recording the new facts they learned.

For our hands-on activity, we began creating dioramas that will grow throughout the week to showcase the different habitats and endangered animals we discover together.

Final day of the Pirate Quest!

We did few coloring activities and got ready for a Treasure Hunt.

The day went fast through water play, delicious lunch meal and free playtime.

The treasure box did its purpose today.

It was the last day of our prate adventure! We decorated a treasure chest with marker, stickers, and jewels. We went on a treasure hunt to find gold coins and diamonds. We celebrated our good fortune with some shaved ice. Thank you to all the young buccaneers for making this week so much fun!
