hey guys one thing i do really love about being a long term stan is that we can easily understand all of the… lore in the way taylor writes about her life. like there’s just so many call backs and parallels to previous albums, songs, events, people, and just everything else that listening to her music feels like one big ~if you know, you know~ at this point

I cannot shut up about how utterly shocking Midnights' success is, in the sense that it should by all accounts be impossible for an album to achieve these sales numbers in the streaming era. Like the system is not built for this anymore but she STILL found a way to not only get 1 million, but potentially even outperform ALL of her past albums that peaked during a more sales-driven era... It is UNHEARD OF and can and should and will be studied in music history for years to come.
