Nicht aus innerer Ruhe, sondern aus Angst. Nicht aus Reife, sondern aus dem Gefühl, dass seine Bedürfnisse nicht zählen oder gefährlich sind. Ein solches Kind funktioniert – aber es lebt nicht frei.

Es beobachtet, passt sich an, verschluckt Gefühle, um geliebt zu werden. Doch still sein heißt nicht glücklich sein. Und wer als Kind lernt, sich selbst zu verleugnen, tut es oft ein Leben lang.
