Rose dating other humans isn't because she DIDN'T love Pearl. Its because for them, romantic love and relationships were an entirely new concept. Rose didn't fult grasp the idea that jusy because she felt something for the humans she met too didn't mean she should act on it because the idea of any kind of relationship was new, let alone a monogamous one. She probably thought she loved humans and she loved Pearl, why couldn't she love both? And similarly, Pearl, due to both their imbalance AND not getting the idea of just telling Rose about hrr issues, didn't grasp the idea it was fine for her to feel this way. They both didn't really understand relationships and how to have a healthy one, so while they loved each other, they didn't know how to properly adress the issues their relationship had.
