NU'EST Confessions

Hello everyone!

I guess the title pretty much sums up what this post will be about.

I have been running this blog for 7 years now and loved NU’EST for equally if not longer. They’ve been a huge part of me during my turbulent years and this blog has been with me for as long and also gone through it’s fair share of ups and downs - if you remember those you get a veteran discount!

It feels like deja-vu as I write this post because I had something like this rehearsed and planned (in fact I came across it in my drafts!) a few years ago. There was very rough periods for NU’EST which only seemed to get more and more hopeless. Given the theme of this blog, it naturally reflected the general negative ambiance and concerns of the fandom which was only aggravated further. At one point I felt very guilty and unhappy at what the contribution of this blog was towards this fandom so I planned to just close, rid myself of the guilt.

For some reason I continued and I’m glad I did (although some might not have been ;;) because when I read my old draft about closing, it was full of defeat and to have gone like that would have been very regretful, personally. In fact, I am tempted to post that too but instead here is an expert from that old post and it gives me so much happiness to see it (mostly) come true: Those that make it big will make it no matter how long. I have faith in them and I also leave this blog with faith that our fandom with grow and mature to represent NU'EST in a positive light and also for the fandom to have a good name.  

Now, as I write this new post instead, I feel content and so so happy at seeing the current situation on these 5 precious boys and all they overcame together. I feel so relieved and so eternally grateful people are appreciating and seeing everything LOVEs saw in them from the start.

Given the way things are right now, I feel it is a better time to close this blog, on a positive note. I will not be deleting it and instead use it as an archive. To think something I started during as a teen during a bored summer would become such a big part of me is crazy.  However, it is only the end of this blog. I will continue to support all five members of NU'EST and will remain a LOVE on all other platforms (hmu if you want). They are a special group that I’ve had the good fortune of coming across and I have not once regretted starting this blog centered around them.

For those that have been with this blog from the start, joined in the middle or even recently - thank you. Thank you for putting up with this admin and her many mistakes. Thank you for appreciating and following this blog and NU’EST. Thank you for your interest in NU’EST and I hope it continues as they continue to shine brighter in this universe.

I won’t write a long sappy message but instead model my post after articulate Aron’s eloquent message: 

Hello everyone! Today marks the 5th year this blog was started and, as always, I would like to thank the followers for making this blog what it is; from being with this blog from the very start, or if you followed some while ago, or even if you’re new. I honestly can’t believe it’s the fifth year but I’m glad to have gotten to this point.

Over the years this blog has had highs and lows, more often lows than highs. There were a few of occasions where I considered to stop and give up on this blog. It was causing a lot of problems and although I tried my best to stay neutral and detached, I couldn’t help but feel demoralized and deflated at some things I was posting as an intermediate. As the years passed the fandom became more and more disheartened and it was reflected in the confessions on this blog. During these times I felt I was simply making matters worse through this blog and came to resent myself for even starting it. I’m not sure why I continued doing so despite feeling terrible... but the reason I bring this up because on this fifth anniversary I am able to look back and reflect on all that has happened and what we have overcome and have hope for the future. 

Before becoming an admin I have always been a LOVE from the very start and whenever I think about this blog and its anniversary it’s unavoidable to think about NU’EST and their future too. In the past I tried my best to remain positive and hopeful regarding NU’EST, to somewhat counteract this blog but after a while I realized I was saying these things to convince myself more than anything else. The light that’s beginning to shine on NU’EST in the later part of this year has renewed the flickering hope I still had and I am able to say with conviction that NU’EST will receive the long overdue love and success in the near future. Seeing the change of events for NU’EST has made me feel so elated I can’t express it coherently and am I still have trouble coming to terms with it, I’m sure it’s a feeling LOVEs will be able to relate to. The fact I am able to make this anniversary post expressing how NU’EST has revived in a sense and given us all new hope makes me glad I didn’t give up on this blog. Their success is the best answer we can give to the negative confessions and comments from this blog and I cannot express my happiness for NU’EST enough.. it still feels surreal to me..

I feel I may have got slightly personal in this anniversary post so I apologize for that and once again, my sincerest and heartfelt thanks to every single one of you that’s following nuest-confessions. Please please please support NU’EST (like actually actively support them) with streaming and their comeback! They can’t make it alone, they need all the love and active support they can get.
