the spring equinox is nearing.. amongst icy mornings i’ve been finding little patches of sunlight, and long awaited bursts of energy have started to creep in. van life isn’t quite as cold as it was just a few months ago. frosty mornings spent huddled around the fire are turning into cosy awakenings, warmed with cups of chocolate and little streams of sunlight. energies are rising again. i still feel called to rest often, choosing days accompanied by slippers and books when my body tells me she needs it. but the early signs of spring are charging me, welcoming me out to seek adventure. i hear the calling of opportunity and connection, and my cup is being filled with magical new memories <3 sharing some glimpses of my favourite moments from the year so far. this time last year i was heading into the bulgarian mountains, and now just yesterday i was climbing up snowy peaks in the lake district. 2024 has already showed me wales, the peak district, the lake district and an unusual handful of towns and cities along the way.. i’m beginning to realise that sometimes the most beautiful adventures are closer than we realise. this year is all about appreciating the not quite so far away beauty i am forever grateful for all the magical connections along the way, to have a life filled with so many beautiful people and for such a wonderful soul to share all of these adventures with me <3

sailing from auckland to great barrier island, doing mainies in a dingy in a bay full of phosphorescence, lazing on a beach with babies, lazing on a beach with babes, farting in yoga, bathing in hot springs so hot they burn your tiddies, hiking up a volcano, gawking at boatside dolphins and sharks and penguins, watching ben renovate the kitchen from the comforts of the couch, squeezing in a multi-day, finally buying myself a lava lamp, hiking in hail the size of golf balls, holding a conversation with a donkey, sipping on a breast milk white russian cocktail at a doof under the hood of the escarpment, oversharing on the internet, smelling newborn babies, finally tasting marvellous creations chocolate (fml it’s so good???!), finishing a big knitting project and hyper fixating on the next so hard I got headaches, watching train dreams, reading train dreams, listening to the train dreams soundtrack, damaging a rental van, dancing to the slingers, absolutely *sobbing* in Hamnet, making the 30kgs of tomatoes harvested from our garden this month my entire personality, finally convincing people to pay me to work for them, still drinking one can of Coca Cola a day!!!! Ty January!!!
