02.04.17// Doing some Religious Studies mind maps today (ft. a messy desk) to make myself feel better about the fact it’s already April and exams begin next month (help) 😣 However on a brighter note, my new mildliners arrived yesterday and I’m not sure if I’ve ever been so excited in my life 🎈

Bujo things 🌞🌾 I have been busy at work but I have also managed to get a lot of personal admin done ✔️ I have made steps toward joining a running club and I have tidied my whole house 🙌🏼 But after getting mugged a few weeks ago I am still dealing with the admin of replacing the contents in my bag which seems like it’s never ending 😓

I needed to show you guys these socks I got from my Secret Santa this week because they’re FREAKING ADORABLE AND MATCH MY SPREAD. // It’s been super gloomy in cali the past few days but the sun finally came out today. This week had it’s ups and downs; I can gladly say that I survived my last week of school and I’m so excited to enjoy my very well deserved holiday break!

Sorry for the lack of updates:( I’ve been rather busy recently and I’m thankful that I have a bit of time to update here ! Some of my favourite notes hehe !!! And on a side note, my one week break is ending soon …. (╯_╰) but I guess I’ll just have to make the best out of the remaining few days!!

The emergence of studyblr culture has also led to our obsession with aesthetically pleasing notes. Whilst typical studyblr photos are of course nice to look at and a model most of us aspire to achieve, it is important to remember they are not everything. If your motive in notetaking is to achieve pretty notes, then your energy is diverted away from absorbing information in an effective way and towards the creative process. Ultimately this reduces the effectiveness and your ability to absorb information properly because you’re not really paying attention to the content. Whilst it is important that your notes are legible and comprehensible, the primary motive should be to engage with the content.
