I never thought that I would need to do this, but guys I really need your help. On the morning of 9/3/2017, I woke up and I heard weird noises coming from outside my window. I thought maybe my pitbull had caught a bird or a rat or something but when I looked out the window, he was asleep. I looked to the side in time to see a dog bite and pull my other dogs leg and I realized he was being attacked. I slammed against the window to scare the two dogs away and ran outside as fast as I could. 

As I got outside I realized it was really 3 three dogs that had attacked him as they ran away. As soon as I saw my dog I started screaming and crying. The three dogs had managed to pull off his back hide and expose his skin layer under the fur and pull it off so that it was hanging. He wasn’t crying, or shaking, but I was. I’ve had him for a little over 10 years and unfortunately I can’t afford a pet bill right now, but I don’t want to just leave him like this either. I contemplated calling animal control so they can come put him down due to his age and that we can’t afford to take him to a vet ourselves, but it breaks my heart thinking of him passing without any of my family members there to help him through. I would like to be able to take him to a vet and decide if it would be better to put him down, or see if he can survive this injury with a possible surgery or something. Back in May, our other lifelong pet, Mia, had passed from old age and I don’t know if we can deal with another heartbreak.

I found a Vet in Mexico (I live next to the border so crossing will be no issue, and I can go by car) who can perform the surgery as he has performed one similar to Nick’s. I’ve reduced the price to $1000, and today is the last day we have to raise the money and save him.
