Next Stop: Count on It!

After a long deliberation between many fantastic apps, the team at NS:COI has created our cast. We want to thank everyone who decided to apply to our game, especially since it is a bit of a break from the normal! The blog will be kept up to date with the happenings for those who board the train.

Without further ado, our TRAVELERS

On August 9th at 2 PM EST, we will be dropping our roster here on our blog, and inviting people to our opening mini prologue! As stated before, we will be flexible and give people the time they need, so don't worry if you're not available immediately.

We will be deleting the hopefuls server on the night of the 8th, so make sure you have the Tumblr ready!

Once more, thank you everyone for your truly wonderful support through this process. Even with around 40 apps, we still had to make some very tough decisions with the roster, and as many of you know, balance is truly a fickle mistress.

This will be a public drop on the Tumblr, as we will be deleting the discord a few hours or a day before the drop, so be ready! Upon being accepted, our cast will immediately be dropped into 5 person pre-prologue groups, and have a small introductory section and puzzle to solve with and interact with their group! These are only expected to last a few hours, and upon completion, players will then be given perms to see the rest of the server!

This is a way to aim to not overwhelming people with the whole server or whole cast at once! Upon everyone's completion of our prelogue, the typical game chill session ooc will begin!

We have contacted our power role(s), and they have accepted their position(s)! We have settled on a final cast of 16 player apps plus 4 mod OC's, and will now properly enter our game planning proper! If for any reason you have to withdraw your app, please let us know now, otherwise, strap in, folks!

Alright, folks! If we counted it all up correctly, it seems like we have 45 apps in the hole, which is an IMPRESSIVE number for our specific little game here! If you do not see your character's occupation listed on the hopefuls list, please reach out immediately!

Otherwise? Well, now it's down to app reading! We'll take a little bit of time to read apps, so hold tight for a little while! We WILL announce when all the apps are read, as well as when we've picked our cast and contacted our power role(s)! At that point, we may be able to give more of an update on how long things may take, with other game prep, writing prep, and roster art!

Alright, folks! We're currently less then two weeks from our final deadline, of May 23rd!

……at least, we would be! In order to try to encourage as many people to app as we can for our niche premise, as well as to settle at a nice, round number, we will be pushing our deadline to May 30th, with three day extensions available until June 2nd!

Would you like to change? Oh, it doesn't matter if you'd like to or not, no, no! You're going to change! We don't always want it. We don't always need to, and that's the problem, mm, mm!

The problem is that we don't know we want or need to change. It would be easy if it were all just a book! If you could read a book about yourself, and understand everything you ever needed too, mm! Imagine, imagine! If you could just know everything…

See, see. I sound weird and freaky. But I mean it, we mean it when we say! The train….will CHANGE your life!

Next Stop: Count On It! is a discord based 20+ Infinity Train OC roleplay, inspired by the structure of traditional Danganronpa OC roleplay. Our cast will explore the mysterious, whimsical, and even dangerous titular Infinity Train among their fellow passengers, learning more about themselves in growth to either leave the train, persevere, or even fall along the way. Each passenger will have a number upon their hand which directly correlates to their specific realization they have to have, and will be allowed to fluidly go up and down as your threads go and the game progresses. Each chapter will have a casual thread period, a status quo shift for thread variety, before finally a varying action sequence to end the chapter.

The game will be aiming at a long-form format as described in our FAQ, of roughly 6-7 months. The game will allow for supernatural, alien, robotic, and fantastical characters, as well as normal humans - although no matter your character’s initial status, they will be trapped upon the train like everyone else! In character action sequences will end each of our five chapters, on top of a prologue and endgame, to help drive the volunteered characters to their final steps to realizing what they really, truly need to. Players will volunteer at the beginning of a chapter to have their spotlight moment at the end of the chapter with at least one other character, in what we hope will drive this unique, character driven adventure we have for you all.
