These concepts are from a time when EPCOT was transitioning from the full-blown city Walt Disney had planned to build to the more traditional theme park it eventually became. In the mid-70's there were still plans to have commercial entities doing real research at EPCOT.
The 1975 Annual Report describes the Future World Theme Center:
"The EPCOT Future World Theme Center, a high-capacity visitor facility which will employ advanced communications techniques, including motion pictures, models, multi-media exhibits and ride-through experiences, to inform millions of people each year about what is being done in the creative centers of science and industry around the world. Most importantly, it will demonstrate how these new technologies and ideas can be applied in a practical way to improving the environment for living in existing communities throughout America and the world."
We also get the origin of Communicore, the "Communications Corridor".

World Of Motion (EPCOT Pictorial Souvenir 1984)
before the boardwalk
There used to be a tram from Epcot to the Swan & Dolphin that went along where the Boardwalk now stands. If you ever enter Epcot from the International Gateway side, you’ll see a large cul-de-sac with grass/flowers randomly planted in the center. That was the former pick-up/drop-off space for the tram.
Jed Henry and David Bull’s depiction of Mario Kart Racing done as a traditional Japanese woodcut print. This and other video game inspired prints are available at Ukiyo-e Heroes.

Time to sharpen up my gargantuan chisel. Stones are 1000 Super Stone (blue), combo 1000/6000 King (yellow), 12000 Super Stone (pink). The chisel is a Newbould, Cast Steel, 2 1/4" wide. The little bit of info I've found is that Newbould is where the Buck Bros. worked (or maybe just one of them) before there was a Buck Bros. The sweet London pattern handle makes me yearn for a complete set (you know, in increments of 1/16" or so...) of firmer chisels with London pattern handles. Some day...
Plate is from a 1980’s Disston that was in rough shape. I cut it down and derusted it. About 18”, 7 tpi, Walnut handle and my homemade nuts.
14", 11 tpi cross cut, handle based on Grammercy carcase saw from Tools For Working Wood, unfinished handle and the nuts are not fitted yet in this picture
16" rip saw with 4" under the back, .020" thick plate, Apple handle, 9 tpi, home made split nuts, handle finished with shellac and wax
