When I mentioned the idea to Mitch at Two-Man that I’d be up for it he jumped at it and sent me the vocal tracks.

Let It Show and I Can’t Wait feature of their debut album, POOLSIDE VIEWS due 21st August

The album is awash with song-based electronica, tech-dub, French House and breaks which were inspired by NOVABLOOD appearing at Pikes Ibiza in ‘24. “Myself and Paolo wanted an album which would reflect that visit and soundtrack visits there in the future.” - Mark Zowie

Poolside Views is a showcase of multiple dynamics in the world of dance music, containing strong emotional nuances and song based arrangements.

NOVABLOOD’S SIDE PROJECT, ‘ELLE EST PARTIE’ HAS ANOTHER RELEASE ON JULY 17th.

The EP is a clear nod to French House music for the early 2000’s. An area of production which producer, Mark Zowie found himself situated in with his previous production duo, LIL’ DEVIOUS. Having produced a number of tracks which sat within the genre he’s now revisiting.

Zowie says, “There’s clearly a nod to Stardust’s ‘MUSIC SOUNDS BETTER WITH YOU’ on Let It Show but I didn’t want to sample Chaka Khan like they did or even sample Stardust, so the whole track is played in the studio and I even wrote a key change to break the track up a little. So it’s not a sample based track but a piece of music to suit. Obviously the vocal is our own and sang by me”

The forthcoming debut album drops 21st August on Mint400 Records in New Jersey who heard the album shortly after the release of NOVABLOOD’S You’re New To This Aren’t You? and they instantly got back with a recommendation of releasing it with them too.

Zowie says “after seeing the impact the label has on American Radio play we decided there’s no better label we’d rather release this album with, as each track has a single sensibility and feels right for most radio stations club, indie, electronic, dub or otherwise. There’s a radio-home for each track over there”

Friday the 19th of June saw the release of a two track debut from ELLE EST PARTIE.

Producer, Mark Zowie says, “America prods fun at the socialites and attention seeking celebrity cultures. Youth chasing augmentation, dietary scams, social platforms and faces a culture which seems to have spiralled out of control. Examining the differentiation of celebrity and fame via talent and cash hungry influencers.”

Elle Est Partie (pronounced L.A PARTY) is a brand new side project from Mark & Paolo of NOVABLOOD and has been signed to New Jersey based Mint 400 recordings. The album of songs has been lovingly described from outside the band as “Cosmic, acid, balearic futurism!”.

The release date is June 19th for the first single which will be a double A side of AMERICA and THREAT OF VIOLENCE. Two more aggressively produced, yet maintain following the albums routes across social consciousness / perception and primarily, behaviour.

So what’s different?

The album explores a multitude of genres including dub, breaks, progressive / techno / French infused grooves and classic electronica. Boldly bringing those elements into song based arrangements.

“The production is warm and inviting, it’s literally soaked in sunshine and was the intention to create something that would sound beautiful around the pool at Pikes Ibiza, which, after a Novablood DJ SET at the legendary venue, inspired me to set about writing an album of contemplative grooves and melodies which would complement such a place.” - Mark Zowie

After a high influx of radio support across the USA, for songs from the new album, You’re New To This Aren’t You?, NACC announced this week that NOVABLOOD had cracked the top 200 at an astounding 91.

Both the label, Mint 400 based in New Jersey and the band are over the moon with the support shown on the new material and seeing the chart entry is the icing on the cake. Plans are now in place for future material. Watch NOVABLOOD on their socials for updates.

VINYL AND CD of the album are now available exclusively at Elastic Stage

This week shows NOVABLOOD are the 19th most added at NACC and 4th most added at NACC Electronic and arrive at 24 on Sub-Modern Albums not to mention numerous radio stations adding music from their latest album, You’re New To This Aren’t You?
