I remember this!! I was working that day (former CBP) and remember driving into work seeing the water and asking if people were still going to attempt it. They did. Most of these people are drunk too. The wind and current took a good chunk of Americans to Canadian shores. They were washing up in people’s backyards….it was a whole thing. It was a moment of “fuck….what do we do?” Most of these people don’t have anything on them. No passports, no ID, nothing. Why would they? They’re in swimsuits. It was the ONE time we had to accept a “trust me bro” as an acceptable re-entry answer. Canada was cool about it and rounded up the lost Americans and loaded them on a charter bus to send them back. Most were wet so they were easily identifiable. But yes, this is a tradition that’s happened for decades and isn’t about to end anytime soon. They just have more coast guard boats on the water now where they’ll poke you with a stick to keep you back over where you belong.

I mean same could be said for the corporate world too but this is why I don’t understand people who want to go into this career knowing they’ll have a 1% chance of getting anywhere. And even if you do, they’ll tear your ass to pieces and spit you out too.

I love Hunter lol. And he’s speaking facts. I feel bad for what happened to Nancy’s husband - it should have never took place. But let’s not pretend she was a good person or a good politician either. She filled her pockets too and did some really shiesty shit causing division. Many people who have met her said she’s a bitch quite frankly with a stick 10 feet up her ass. I hate that people adore her just because she was a “democrat.”
