Lanza was especially fond of constructing totalizing theories. His reasoning often followed the same pattern: notice a phenomenon, find a few examples that support his view, and then elevate them into a universal principle (culture is bad, humanity is bad, parents are bad, women are selfish). In essence, his style of thinking was "I've discovered a pattern, and now I'll explain everything through it". His views were often black-and-white, highly dichotomous, and extremely narrow in scope. If you examine his videos and writings closely, it gradually becomes clear that by "culture" he often did not mean culture as a whole, but something much narrower, like a system of imposed values and expectations.
