The point is for Batman to kill the Joker. Jason doesn’t just want Joker dead, he wants to be important enough to Batman that he’d break his one rule to avenge his death. The REALLY fucked up part is that if Batman killed Joker, Joker would see that as his ultimate victory, because he wants to be important enough to force Batman to break his one rule and compromise his ideals.

the debate between Jason and Bruce’s killing/no-killing rule is so fucking exhausting because they’re both right and that’s the damn point. Bruce believes every single individual is worth redemption and deserves saving and he is correct. Jason believes that a bunch of people shouldn’t have to die so that one person has the chance to get their shit together and he is correct. do you see it? do you get it now? there is no right answer because that’s not how this works, that’s not how any of this works, Bruce is right when he says Jason can’t decide who to kill because a lot of Gotham’s villains are themselves victims and when you have a system constantly failing people unless you fix that system it’s just gonna keep creating villains no matter how many you kill and Jason will never be able to put the gun down once he starts, Jason is right when he says sparing the Jokers life directly led to the death of dozens if not hundred of people that might still be alive if someone put a bullet through the Jokers skull, it is if nothing else a fast solution. it was cruel of Jason to ask Bruce to kill the Joker, it was cruel of Bruce to save the Joker from Jason

Went to the grocery store with my kindergartener. We weighed some bananas: 2 pounds even. We weighed a watermelon: 4 pounds even. We weighed some mangos: a little over 1 pound. We weighed the watermelon AND the bananas: 6 pounds even.
